Dosent take me much to get excited about going fishin'. Every time I feel the rod jiggle its like I'm ten years old again. I'll stand hip deep in a glorified mudhole for half a day if I think I'll catch something there.

Took the boy to Scouts tonight and went down the road a bit. Parked the truck , dropped the tailgate, threw a line in and a couple minutes later I hauled up my first bass of the season [coo]

I did so wish to keep it (soooo tasty!) but it's nesting season so back in it went. hissyfit

I'll be back and he'll be there. [tongue]

I sighted the state hatchery truck along one of the local rivers today.

Guess where I'm going tomorrow. [tongue]

There is 7 times as much water as land on earth---any one can clearly see that God intended us to fish 7 times as much as we work---LOL.

I prefer to select my fish individually and shoot them with a speargun or pole spear.

If people understood what was truly important in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles.

Disclaimer: I saw that somewhere years ago but do not recall to whom it is attributed.

Went fishing Friday night and all day Saturday. About 90 degrees, and strong sun for most of the day. yes, I got burnt (a bit). However, we two guys, landed more than a hundred bluegills, and bass. We kept the best couple, and grilled them, along with the steaks. Cold beer, chips with salsa. I even got to deploy one of my yo-yo reels (auto-fisher) and it caught fish in seconds.
When it got too hot, and the fishing slacked a bit, we hit the woods trails with the quad runner. It was a good time.:D

The wife and I just got back Friday from three days of Musky fishing in northern Michigan. We caught two real nice ones and released both. hers was 42 mine was 41 inches. I lost one about 40 that ate a spinner in mid air as I was pulling the lure out of the water. 2dqd.

Musky fishing is our Passion and even though we are survivalists we still find time to Chase them from Remote areas in Canada to Southern impoundments in Ohio, Indiana and all Michigan waters. Those three fish were caught on lures we built by hand here in our Shop. 41, 51.5 and 53.5 inches . My wife also has a 55 inch fish to her credit. KF

very nice, my youngest and I just started the fun. been out a few times for trout. Haven't caught anything yet, looking forward to her getting her first one, it's kind of addicting. And the nice thing is, the whole world dissappears when we are out there

Them's some BEAUTY muskies and awful close to catch and release world record! (58)
If you're ever in Northern Ontario...try Nipissing.
White mice if you're using live bait....
I've fished Nip extensively and there's also Pickerel (Walleye), large and small mouth bass, perch and monster sturgeon.

I was out today on the river...but all I got was a foot long rainbow.
