Well, I just finished the purchase of a new home on 5 acres a few weeks ago.
I'm working on becoming self sufficient with it. Here's a few things I have going so far.
First an satellite view of my property.
A more zoomed out view of my neighborhood.
A compost bin I made with some scrap pallets
And finally an unfinished chicken coop I'm working on, made again of entirely scrap wood (mostly pallets)

    @Hosster first, congratulations!
second, you might want to delete the satellite pictures of where your property is. At this moment, I know EXACTLY where this property is. OPSEC rules!

I'd say a vast majority of us here wouldn't want to put out that information in a public forum.

That is a fine start to a nice chicken coop. I look forward to seeing pics when it is done. BTW- are you going to have a heat lamp in there during the winter?

    That's the wonderful thing.
Not only does google maps have all the old road names listed, but even if I gave you my EXACT address, no gps can find it.
    I get an error message.
    No results for "xxxxx"

I don't live on cedar lane. The road name is actually something else now.

And the other roads names have changed.
Though, I do suppose it might pull up on other maps besides google and mapquest ???

I tried to take the one down with street names, but it won't let me on tapatalk :?

I might, it kinda depends on if the chickens get finnacy and quit laying eggs.
Where I live, it never really drops below 40 degrees and for the most part is usually above 50

In the interests of your OPSEC, I've taken out the overhead views, just in case. Beg your pardon for that without permission, and if you really want them shown, please edit them back in.

Congrats on getting a place of your own. Feels good, eh?

    Regards,
