Howdy. Hos here. Not sure how to begin. My name is pronounced Hausss with silent s's but... not the other way that involves money. Not so much of a myth Wastelander..... There is an natural chemical called Saratonin that is found just inside the Peel skin of banana's that can be extracted with proper technique. It does make a really mello High, when oxidized , and inhaled.... It is common in most Peel bound fruits.... ......

When I was in college, (Late 60's) my roommate was doing research in BioOrganic Chemistry, specifically in Psychoactive Chemicals found in nature, and he did much of the original Research on natural Seritonin production, in Peel bound Fruits. He also was one of the first, to synthesize the Active Compounds found in the Peyote Plant. (Mescaline) This was NOT my specific field of Organic Chemistry, but I understood the basics, the synthesis, and extraction procedures, used, to characterize the resulting compounds.
Nobody cares about the logistics of how this all came to be...everybody wants to know how you make dope out of bananas. DUH.
Wow, but that must have been a long time ago, right? Wikipedia states that Mescaline was first synthesized in 1919
