I thought it was time to replace my EDC bag (purse). I've had good experiences with Maxpedition in the past so thought I'd see what they had to offer to replace my Neatfreak seemed to look like it was screaming "EDC me!" so I picked one up for ~$80.

    716-q9C6WML._SL1001_. 71f%2B1x4FABL._SL1001_.
    The bag is 9.5" L x 7.5" W and 3" deep.
It includes 18 individual pockets for organizing your daily load out (and then some).

I began with the basics: Glock, keys, wallet, phone and then started to realize how much room I actually had... My EDC load went up over the next couple of weeks (with some prompting from @phishi)

Here are some images of mine fully loaded:

Shown with add on cell phone holster holding an iPhone 5 to the PALS grid on the front zipper pocket

Of course I pimped it with Hinderer Lanyard beads as zipper pulls and also used one of @Bear 's magic gear clip to hold the light.

Again but with velcro closure tabs open

Rear compartment can hold a firearm with optional universal velcro holster and spare mag loop.

Dump of everything that I currently fit into this manageable beast.

Glock 26 (will fit a larger piece but this is my current preference for this bag)
    Quick Clot Combat Gauze
EpiPen and EpiPen Jr. (because you never can tell with bees)
Work keys (attached to lanyard sewn to the interior)
    Signal Mirror
    Eye Drops
    Kong 'duck' rope/cable grab
Credit card swiper for phone (I like to make it convenient for people to give me money)
    Paracord, 30 ft
SureFire E2D LED Defender Dual Ultra (5 or 500 lumen)
    Spare set of contact lenses
Phone / iPad charging cable with 12 V adapter
    BlastMatch
    WetFire Tinder
    MSR Pack Towel
    Mini Bic lighter
Small foldup mirror (not sure why I have 2 mirrors...)
6 packets Starbucks Via instant coffee
HuMn Mini RFID blocking wallet - these are very cool!
    Passport
    Moleskine notebook
Rock Exotica caribiner (Yes, I know Rock's are backwards but I prefer them and have standardized)
    Leatherman Supertool
Loupe - Belomo 10x triplet (amazing how much I use this guy)
    Toothbrush
    Toothpaste
    Toothpicks
HuMn 2 wallet - Carbon fiber RFID blocking (can you tell I love these?)
Hinderer Ti pen - Extreme Duty
Potassium Iodate pills (because you never can tell with nukes)
    Leatherman skeletool mini
    Photon squeeze light
    iPad Mini
    Water purification tablets
    Assorted band-aids
    Space blanket
    Napkins

Here's a better shot of the HuMn wallet:

Combine all of the above with the XM-18 knife and Hinderer pen in my pockets and a VTAC Cobra Belt and I'd say I'm either really prepared or a real nerd...

The Neatfreak fills my needs perfectly although I need be careful at how much I try to load it just because there are spare pockets. I had to tell myself that 18 pockets are there for choice of positioning, not for 18 categories of stuff :)

Nice, but where is the aspirin, fishing kit, handcuff key, and knife sharpener?;)

Motrin will be added although I don't take it.
Fishing kit is being assembled. Might get a pen pole
Could easily fit a small diamond sharpener - thanks for the suggestion.
Handcuff key - could be added to the keychain although I doubt I'd be able to reach it after being cuffed.

inside watch band., or split the belt, at center rear, and create a small pocket, just for that key.(and maybe a pen knife for zip ties.)

Inside the tag on the back of your jeans... you can open it up and stich it back... safe secure and you won't loose it just get a key for each pair of jeans.... if you dress pants have a wide belt loop that's the place for it....

I do have a 32 G stick but it was jacked into a laptop when I took the pictures. It normally rides in the front pocket. Perhaps an Ironkey would be better.

Thorough review! Yeah, Maxpedition never fails to amuse me.

Extremely compact, lots of pockets, and light-weight.

I think I should cough up some money for this! Always nice to have an EDC bag.

    Sounds like a nice setup.

I'm double Glocking these days: G-26 in the Neatfreak and a G-19 in a Raven VG2 AIWB. I also carry a spare G-17 mag next to the 26.
42 rounds should be enough. Oh yeah, my new pants of choice have 30 round (AR) mag retention straps in the thigh pockets...
