    Any feedback?

Looks pretty good. I would also look at whatever Gerber has. I tend to like gerber better for feel than Leatherman. I carry the Gerber multi-tool as EDC.

    FEEDBACK>>

As a former Volunteer EMT I vote no.

I did service to my fellow man/woman until AIDS hit and when the Medical Community lied to us( I could not prove it yet but I knew what AIDS was/did in England) I bowed out, better to save my family than to infect them.

In short, Blood Born Pathogens means the tool is useless until autoclaved, once it has been used on the injured i.e. cut off bloody clothes etc. Better to buy 2 or 3 scissors and then a Gerber.

    Just my .02.

    YMMV

In my experience, trauma shears are an item that need to be readily available, not something that needs to be unfolded before use. My personal bag has both a multi tool and a trauma shear. The weight penalty is negligible, and I find being able to access the shear with one hand to be a great advantage in an emergency.

I don't agree with HK User concerning blood borne pathogens and trauma shears. While trauma shears can be autoclaved, all I do with mine is wipe them down with the wipes provided by the organization that I work for. This meets the criteria established by a major health provider for dealing with biohazard that is present on equipment.

    Just my .02.

    Here's my take on it.....for whatever's it's worth!

I'd look at this as a matter of what functions this tool serves, versus the cost. Let's see:
    • 420HC Stainless Steel Folding Medical Shears Handy, but you can buy decent medical shears for <$10 on Amazon
    • Strap Cutter Personally, I'd just as soon have a folding knife with this, and the glass breaker. Cheap ones can be <$20
    • Ring Cutter I realize the usage of this tool, but wonder at the worth of it, or how often you'd actually use it?
    • Ruler (5 cm) Any decent multi-tool has a similar ruler built in.....and a dollar bill is just over 6" long. Not sure if you'd use it, ever.
    • Oxygen Tank Wrench Pretty sure I could live without this feature.
    • Carbide Glass Breaker See my comment above, about the strap cutter.
So basically, for less than half price, you can set yourself up with similar features, albeit NOT within a single tool. I'd say this is designed more for a coolness factor, than actual usefulness. Again, just my 2-cents.
