Street bikers attack driver of SUV

Well there you go New York... How's that gun control working out for you ?

I'm pretty sure that here in Michigan, it would have played out differently. And if I was driving the SUV ( A.K.A. 6000 lbs projectile ) there would be a whole lot of injured or dead punks lying on the side of the road. Some with tire marks across their helmets, and some with about 640 grains of Federal Hydra-Shok in their center mass regions.

"He said police had fanned out around Manhattan to watch for trouble, arresting 15 bikers and confiscating 55 motorcycles unrelated to the attack on the Range Rover.".....what? were they shopping for parts? Or did they have a legitimate reason to seize 55 bikes?

 

The Mayor told them to arrest anyone that stopped.

 

so....each biker was riding at least three bikes?

 

I'd like to see them try that in a location with friendlier gun laws...

 

Bikes stopped moving, not all the riders hung around for the second verse.

 

55 bikes unrelated to the attack....that sounds a lot like theft to me.

 

Often stolen bikes are used to make a "Run", this to thieve and then dump the stolen bike.

Been there, had a bike stolen and then passed on to another fool who rode it a wee bit too long. He was busted early on a Sunday morning driving a hot wired bike. Now who is on the roads on Sunday mornings? Well cops of course. I still have the bike, it was returned by the SO. The kid rated out his friends and moved out of state.

I'd have never stopped my vehicle, and would have been playing "Pong" with the idiots on the bikes.

 

Likewise Tulianr, Letting a biker intimidate a vehicle is foolish. Just drive him against the rail, wall, or what ever. Jam your brakes for the one behind you and hit the rear tire of the ones in front. You have the advantage simply by your 4 wheel vehicle's stability and weight. He could have gone on the "rampage" like them and taken out the whole gang. Plus, if he had not been in NY he could have stopped that assault on the street up town. Sad commentary when a person cannot defend his family legally.

 

sounds like there was a whole lot of stupid compounded by typical violence ...... that motorcycle flash was the start of the stupid ..... what the ever-loving h@ll that crazy azz Asian SUV driver was doing is a mystery ..... no indication that he was under attack out on that highway ..... looks like he got pissed about getting stopped by the flash and went nuts ..... can't condone the violence but it's understandable ..... the Asian driver just plowed thru a bunch of stopped bikes and drove over a few .... when he started his driving rampage, he didn't have the slightest idea WHY those bikes were stopped .....

 

Oh yeah, that's right. That mayor is the mayor of the city that overlooks the Statue of Liberty, but couldn't give a shit about your civil liberty...

 

After the initial incident where he bumped the one who break checked him he stopped. The got all around him and someone slashed his tires and banged on his car. That is why he took off and ran over bikes on the highway. What led the bikers to drive recklessly near him and that one to break check him initially is anyone's guess

 

Play stupid games...win stupid prizes.

 

WOW, all I can say if they were chasing me in my F150 there would have been more bikes run off the road, flat tires or not, I'm not stopping until the truck just won't go anymore.

From the videos I saw, and reports I've read it seems these "gangs" do this quite frequently in NY. Basically they antagonize another driver then do the break checks in front of them. Yeah, play stupid games.

Fortunately in my local area I know where most, if not all the police substations are. That would be where I would be heading while the wife is on the phone with 911, and both of us have our pistols at the ready. If the cops can't respond in time, I'll take the thugs to the cops, even if it's one piece at a time.

 

He already CALLED 911. Before the break check. Black gang violence on white loners (or other) IS on the rise. They call it the polar bear game or knockout. And that is on foot. On the roads? I would have to make the same choice, bowling ball VS bowling pins.
If pushed to the extreme like that, I would have reversed through them.
