That's the first I've heard of and watched his videos. He makes some pretty spectacular claims. Don't have time to finish the video now, I'll try to finish it tomorrow.

They might think they are mine-resistant, but there are alot more ways to bring down a vehicle. For instance, fuel tanks are a good target. I'm betting they are subject to EMPs. Looks like they'd have some electronics in there. I'd have a better idea of their weaknesses if the stupid picture would load properly.

EMP ISN't going to effect a Diesel engine...

Actually if these are the ones made by Navistar, they have an electronically controlled engine and I believe an Allison electronically controlled transmission. I'd bet Oshkosh's also have electronic controls. A lot of these electronic systems will have radiated EMI susceptibility issues in the 200-500 MHz at field strengths of several hundred volts per meter. That won't permanently damage the electronic but will disrupt its operation but the electronics will reset and resume once the interference signal is gone.

Depends on the diesel. These days most have electronic controls for fuel and tranny interface/operation.

Let us hoe that military vehicles are not so "tender".... But then, on the other hand I do...

I can assure you that many if not most are now well endowed with electronic engine and powertrain controls. Increasing performance with multiple fuels, reduced driver proficiency, need for significant fuel consumption improvement, reduced heat and smoke signatures, etc. have driven these. I do engineering work and consulting for a company that makes diesel engines and one of my engineers used to work for BAE on electronic controls specifically for military vehicles. That said the electronics are indeed quite robust and have multiple backup functionalities for if various sensors or actuators are down.

Just a thought, but in that first pic of the white vehicle, those tires seem to present a nice size target. Anyone know what they can stand up to? (Assuming they are run-flat type tires.)

Most troops I have talked with express their dislike for them.. However it is nice to see that some equipment for the use by troops are well made..

Tires... Blow them off .. Can be sure they are run flats..

Best way to deal with those tires is to "Burn them Off, by Igniting them on fire" they do burn well, once lite".....

Concertina and barbed wire in sufficient quantity will wrap the axles, bend steering components and rip seals. Plus it's a bear to remove.

Moving targets are challenging.. Need to work on that lead...

Just as difficult as comm wire from bush hog blades..
