LOL, have been saving/collecting it for years. Not for weapon use of course--I use it for insulation. Ground up to "peanut" size it pours easily into cavities. That is what peace loving folks do with materials. Of course.......

I am a peace loving man in a violent world. But i was also a Boy Scout, and their motto, is "Be Prepared". You know where to find some, if you need it. It just serves double duty. Think of it as a multi-tool. It can be..... re-tasked at need.[reddevil]

"Pitfalls are holes in the ground with a false floor that have been camouflaged and disguised to emulate the floor-bed. Due to the size of LAVs/MRAPs the hole would have to be at least 18 x 8 x 4. This method should be applied by militia groups of substantial size that allow for a group of six to dig the hole in less than an hour, or when a backhoe is available." ....Tiger traps. I was thing more along the lines of how Hollywood rolls cars and trucks, with small cannon from below. With that high center of gravity, a blast under the tires of one side might do the job of turning turtle. In truth, I don't like having to think along these lines. :( I prefer to believe in "serve and protect".

nooo, but someone reading this might get the idea, that conflict was welcome and expected. This site you referenced, UsCrow, sounds very "militant", (and just to play Devil's advocate) were I an ABC outfit, watching for trouble, I might get the mistaken impression, of a group looking for trouble, planning on how to attack, rather than how to defend. If trouble comes, I will do whatever I must, to preserve Life, Liberty, and family, but I am not hunting conflict.

It would take large amount of force too turtle a rig of that size without proper terrain/methods. I doubt a small cannon would have enough upwards pressure to lift that weight the proper height to roll them. If you have the ability to drop a front end in a hole, you have them stationary and just need to wait for them to come out. Or engage your sniper when another unit comes up to pull them out and tries to rig, to pull it out of the hole.

Of course if you are going to engage them they should be in you immediate AO and you have to stand your ground. If you have the option to ghost away to your safe area and fight another day, it is better than creating a bunch of attention.... because you will "get" that once you start taking them down.

The Hollywood cannon fires a section of telephone pole downward from the car/truck, and flips the car. My thought was to roll the truck into a Tiger Trap. Also, there is no reason why they could not be laid in sets. perhaps 4 or more at a time. they could be pressure triggered, or wire fired, or fired by transmitter. but something like that would be a danger to others when you were not under attack. How to keep the defense in place, while not setting it off by mistake? I think, you would have to build the traps into the road, like bridges, and have ready made replacement bridge sections (false ones) to lay in their places. and charges would have to be placed in prepared holders, just before they were needed. This would require heavy machinery to do the swap, and prelaid wires, and trigger system. And a safe way to hold premade charges, or the materials to build them quickly.

Take your point and I am as peaceful as you can get.. Long ago, knew a guy off in the desert lands down south of here.. Told me tales of his younger days. Of a small group of friends that would pack picnic lunch's and head out to to desert and blow things up with home made chemicals.. Most ended up in the employ of the govermant..

    Sorry for causing concern..

Believe Mr. Rawles addressed this in one of his fine works.. For certainty of target, it would have to be command detinated.. Careful grading of a road edging on a deep ditch or canyon would do the trick..

    CaboWabo5150 Hell's coming with me

Camp Grayling is within 40 miles of my location... It would be nice to know what is going on there. I haven't been on base there, but on the outside, there have been some major improvements, especially since it was "closed down". My military I.D. has long expired, and my DoD sticker hasn't been on a windshield of any of my vehicles in years, otherwise I might have had the notion to do a drive through..

I have not been around Grayling for a very long time and things do change over time. However, that base had not been a secure location at that time, with little to no fencing and no one to patrol the parimater. Unless things have really changed and they probably have, as I am working from the memory of an old man.. Hmm.. Deer season will be starting real soon. Just a thought.

That's a great idea! A loaded firearm while doing an unauthorised visit to a military base, right after that base shooting too. When created, make sure to shout Alla Alba (it's a ritual greeting between warriors) <sarcasm off>

Like I said.. Had not been in that area in a long time... Things do change... People used to hunt around that area... It had been a rarely used national guard training area.. And if such activity is still common there then someone wandering around with a loaded firearm would not be that unusual.. Especially all dressed up in blaze orange.. Hell, going to high school, just west of there, we would have guns in our trucks and would go hunt after school..
