A Rare Peek into the BATF Monster
    Government agency gone wild!!! Again!

    The highlights:

    ■ Agents pay for tattoos to promote store

    ■ Mentally disabled used, then charged

    ■ Storefront stings near schools and churches

    ■ Felons hired to boost arrest numbers

    ■ High gun prices spur thefts

    ■ Buildings damaged, landlords unpaid

    ■ Felons leave storefronts with guns

"Aaron Key wasn't sure he wanted a tattoo on his neck. Especially one of a giant squid smoking a joint.

But the guys running Squid's Smoke Shop in Portland, Ore., convinced him: It would be a perfect way to promote their store.

They would even pay him and a friend $150 apiece if they agreed to turn their bodies into walking billboards.

Key, who is mentally disabled, was swayed.

He and his friend, Marquis Glover, liked Squid's. It was their hangout. The 19-year-olds spent many afternoons there playing Xbox and chatting with the owner, "Squid," and the store clerks.

So they took the money and got the ink etched on their necks, tentacles creeping down to their collarbones.

It would be months before the young men learned the whole thing was a setup. The guys running Squid's were actually undercover ATF agents conducting a sting to get guns away from criminals and drugs off the street.

The tattoos had been sponsored by the U.S. government; advertisements for a fake storefront.

The teens found out as they were arrested and booked into jail.

Did the people of this country pay for the specialized training of these Atf agents to give tattoo's? Is there a new job description with in the atf for tattoo artist?

The agency is a sickening example of rogue government, capitalizing on a situation blown out of proportion with a twisted sense of duty and no regard for actual justice. Using the nearby school to boost conviction charges and play this out to be an actual crack down is typical for them, too. They baited this from the start, and it's something akin to a Hollywood script. I will bet they will ask for more funding and an increase in operations, too. All in the name of making America "safer" for the rest of us.

A standard shotgun is just a shotgun; a shotgun with a sawed off barrel is a WMD. What a farce.

All to justify the supposed need for more fed personel.. Two occasions come readily to mind of that agency creating situations that required other agencies to try and pull their chest nuts from the fire, they created..

I spent an hour searching the net for this image. It is of the ATF agents after they ran out of ammo and the Branch Davidians allowed them to collect their dead and wounded and leave. Just to the left in this picture are several agents with their weapons slung and their hands in the air walking backwards away from the scene. Guess what? I can't find a single image of this picture that doesn't have the agents cropped out!! The only images of the siege are them carrying wounded agents away. I couldn't find one single image of them "surrendering". A case of scrubbing an unflattering image? Or is their Gestapo fear tactics so ingrained that people are afraid to post something like that? Either scenario is a scary thought.

"The conflict we face today is once again based on culture, and once again, the central issue is freedom. This time, however, it is the so-called rebels who are championing freedom, and the government that is chilling the people's rights. When the United States government suspects a citizen has failed to pay a five dollar federal tax and then spends more manpower and more money spying on that citizen than it spent on surveillance before the invasion of Haiti, there is something wrong. When government tax agents carry guns and wear black ski masks to hide their faces, the evil has become institutionalized. And when those government agents shoot nursing mothers and burn women and children alive over $200 tax matters, then you have a government that is out of control."

God forbid anyone should get into a firefight with BATFE agents, but if one does, show no mercy because they sure as hell won't show you any.

That is exactly what the Davidians did, show mercy. The ATF agents had all ran out of ammo and were pinned down. They could have killed every one of them, but as soon as they stopped firing the Davidians allowed them to gather their dead and wounded and leave their property peacefully. Of course they came back with a vengeance later. One thing a lot of people don't know is that the survivors were all found not guilty in a Texas court for conspiracy and murder charges. The court determined that the agents had shot first and instigated the event and the Davidians were within there legal rights to defend themselves. As soon as the 11 walked out of the courtroom the ATF arrested them on "Gun" charges and they sit in a federal prison to this day. That's federal "Justice" for you.
I attended a memorial service at Mt. Carmel a few years after the slaughter and it was a very somber occasion. They had rebuilt a new church and there were memorial markers around the grounds with all of the dead's names on them. One I noticed was a memorial to the ATF agents that died that day and with true Christian forgiveness and compassion they include their families in their prayers every year on the anniversary.

I did not know this and it do's not suprise me. They tryd to rail road a murder conviction on Randy Weaver as well... Did not work so well for them.. However they had been proven in court to be liars and without any regard for the law..

Just the opinion of an old dumb country boy but I remember when the ATF was started---did not need it then and do not now. It has evolved into a monstrous agency siphoning off great amounts of money and doing what? Running scams, giving/selling guns to cartels, sweeping into situations with guns blazing when peaceful means would more easily work. Their techniques of running a "stack" into a home after blowing the doors is going to end in tragedy again one of these days. The owners will be decried as arch villians and the poor agents families crying sorrowfully in the media spotlights--they control what you will see.
