@BTPost , do you know the size and weight on this one? (assuming it would fit and not overload my pick-up) I am about 2 hours away from there, but if a fellow monkey wanted it, and covered the costs, I would be willing to pick it up and hold it for a short while for them.

Left a voicemail for them, just waiting to hear back. Safe to assume manuals are really available for it? I've got 2 places locally that rebuild gen heads, not too worried about that but what about parts and expected life?
Those J Series Onans have been around for DECADES, and there are still plenty of parts round, for rebuilding. Many folks get 20K Operational Hours out of them, between InFrame Rebuilds. I have ALL the Manuals available in .PDF Format. These are 1800 Rpm Gensets, and rugged as Heck. The J Series Engines/Gensets can be had, in Spark and Diesel Fueled, Air and Water Cooled, 1, 2, &4 Cyl Versions. (3Kw, 6Kw, & 12Kw Basic Ratings) Most of the Parts are interchangeable, between different versions. The GenEnds come in two versions. Brushed, and Brushless. One of Onan's Better Designs. If you can find a J series Onan, for Sale, and are looking for a Backup Genset, for you Outfit, you can't go wrong with one of these.... ...... YMMV....
