Let's hope we have something better replacing them!

That man is going to get a lot of people killed. I just hope this country can survive him, long enough for his term to end.

Don't count on it. This POTUS is just proving again how much HE IS NOT CAPABLE OF RUNNING A COUNTRY, a business, or even a lemonade stand. He has no clue what the repercussions of his actions (orders he gives with plausible deniability .... he doesn't claim to do anything ..... ah, er, ah, it was George Bush!). I feel his handlers know exactly what effect his actions will have, and don't care how many Americans die or otherwise feel the pain. I believe it is a concerted effort to bring about the collapse of the country and total destruction of the Constitution. We have a lot farther to fall before it is all over. Replacement? In the past when we have used many Tomahawks for one big show of force, we have really had to reach deep to replace them. It didn't happen overnight, and we were exposed bad. The odds of having to go nuke were greatly increased.

We don't, that's the problem. Using them up at 100 missiles a year and not replacing the inventory is like you buying 1000 rounds of your fave, using them up at (say) 100 rounds a week with no plan for replenishment. Worse, the maker knows you aren't buying any more so he mothballs the production line, lays off the labor, and/or goes out of business. When you are down to your last battle load is not the time to restart a dead line. This birdbrain is a fool, and an enemy of the USA.

I can't agree with the first statement. I don't think it's just his handlers (and yes, I do believe that he is a puppet). There, I said it, the current occupant of the White House, Barack Hussein Obama, is bought and paid for and nothing more than a mouthpiece for at least one group. Our current President and his administration know EXACTLY what they are doing. NOBODY can go along for that long and issue that many presidential edicts/orders/fiats and not know why or what the end result will be or what the consequences of his actions are.

Barack Obama is trying to destroy this country. Whether it is to turn it into a socialist utopia, pull it into some kind of "world government" or just to rip the barely beating heart out of what was once the "last bastion of hope" and greatest republic of our time is irrelevant. HE HATES THIS COUNTRY AND ALL IT STANDS FOR!

We have over a year and a half until elections and even longer until he is replaced, assuming that happens (I no longer feel that is "tin foil" either). I contended myself with saying "how much damage can one man do in 4 years" the first time and after that I was horrified to find out just how much it was...let alone being elected for a second term.

Much has been disassembled, destroyed, sold, discontinued, taxed, regulated and restricted in the last 6 years and far, FAR more is to come. Nobody is standing up to this destructive, evil, greedy, lying pretender to the Presidency...not The House, not The Senate, not the press, not the States and after electing him a second time, not the PEOPLE! We all, all of us, those who voted for him and those who did not but literally do nothing, are all at fault. We all have our reasons but they will be cold comfort when the dollar is gone, inflation is more out of control than ANYTHING this country has EVER seen, the Government controls EVERYTHING you say, watch, read and do.

I don't want to leave my family with nothing by taking a stand but unless and until I do, along with a LOT of other people, this will continue. You can't say "nothing will change" anymore because things are continually changing and for the worse. Every day this evil, despicable, miserable lying person is in a position of unfettered, unchallenged, illegal authority things change for the worse and we lose more and more.

And no, there is no "rant off" tag. If you think this was a rant you haven't been paying attention! We're beyond sticking a fork in us, we're beyond done, it's mush and short of starting over there is nothing left to save. The cure WILL kill the patient, it's too late for anything else.

DL, I think we are on the same page. I have a real hard time accepting that any CIC, could be a total traitor to the country, and constitution. Totally stupid? ..... well we have had many self or guided morons at the helm of the country over the years. Ignorance, sometimes can be fixed. Stupid can not!

Traitors deserve to be arrested, tried, and if found guilty then executed!
    .
Preferably, in accordance with the "Law of the Land" (the Constitution), and with "Rule of Law" (equal justice before the law regardless of who or what you are).

The problem is that there isn't a jury up to the task of taking this bit of worm food down before he finishes his task of de-nutting the nation. Too bad there isn't a Henry Bowman around with the stones and resources to do what needs done.

Sadly I am enough of a fool and an optimist that I could not condone illegal unsanctioned action against even this POS. I might privately applaud such action, but I would equally support running the perpetrator of such action through the justice system before a jury of his or her peers as is laid out by our Constitution. I do not support anarchy. Should the perp be found not guilty or justified by jury nullification I would be very pleased!

@ghrit & @tacmotusn - Agree on both counts. Lawless actions (POTUS) do not justify lawless actions (civilians). However...no, I can't say anything more because, well, I just won't.

I didn't say that there should not be consequences for the "Bowman" if there is one out there. Yes, I'd applaud, if one just happened to show up, but I'd applaud equally should he be caught and prosecuted legally. Nullification should not even be on the table. We have right at 3 years to go with this POS. The question in my mind is whether or not we can halt the downhill slide before he's replaced with someone that can rebuild before all credibility is lost.

Henry got away with it for literary reasons, not for any other. Excellent fiction.

@ghrit - I didn't figure you meant that there shouldn't be consequences for any Bowman-esque actions. My point was that unless we go all in (read: not one on one, single action), those illegal, lawless actions would be no different at their heart than the illegal, lawless actions of the "victim".

Yes, I understand that rebellion and/or revolution can be, at their core, classified as illegal or lawless but in this case I think that history would vindicate the revolutionaries as they were doing what they had sworn to do, uphold the constitution and protect this country from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic.

I have to say that I applaud both you and @tacmotusn for any level of optimism at this point. I'm not a stupid person and I simply cannot see, with everything going on (internal and external forces combined), how this can be turned around. Many liken our current situation as headed for the cliff. I say we've gone off the edge but were traveling so fast at the time that we haven't started to fall yet. We are, if you will, flapping for all we are worth to maintain velocity and trajectory but eventually Toto will pull the curtain back to reveal the controller for ALL to see (not just those of us who are willing to look on our own) and the truth will come out. We as a country are bankrupt. We as a country (read: 50.1+%) are willing to give up freedoms. We as a country (read: 50.1+%) are willing to be on the take/not work for what we get/take from those who DO produce. We as a country (read: 50.1+%) were NOT willing to stomp on the brake before it was too late.

All of the sudden people will go to kick the can further down the road and realize that not only is there no more can to kick, but there's no road anymore either and then the forward momentum will stop and we will fall. Hard and fast and as anyone who knows anything about physics can tell you, it isn't the fall that kills you but the sudden and immediate deceleration at the end (and possibly the impact). There will be pieces to pick up and put back together but like a broken mirror, you can never completely repair it. It will HAVE to be something different.

What will it look like? I don't know but I doubt it will be pretty for a long time. A complete loss of sovereignty is a real possibility and if that happens it will be generations before we can take it back.

Taking out a single individual isn't really going to make a difference. Killing Hitler wouldn't have ended WWII much if any earlier. Killing Osama BinLaden hasn't purged the world of Al-Qaeda. Removing a mouthpiece won't rid us of the ideals he stands for anymore than forbidding your children to think about something will actually prevent them from thinking about something. It's a philosophy as sure as Jihad or radical religion (pick one, it really doesn't matter).

    *tangent*
You cannot legislate morality. Along those lines you also cannot force someone to change their mind or philosophy. The closest you can come is brainwashing someone. Over 50% of the population WANTS to get something for nothing and feels entitled to it. You CANNOT force them to change their way of thinking. You can starve them out and you can withhold things from them until they die off but they will curse you with their last breath. That's what we're fighting against! That's the enemy! That's the philosophy, fed with their mother's milk, that had to be overcome. I say "had to be" because it needed to be nipped in the bud before it got out of hand. Now, yes, I think it's too late. How long with what we have last? How long before it falls apart/implodes/crashes? No idea but it simply cannot continue much longer as it is. Something drastic HAS to happen, and soon.

An air tank can only take so much vacuum before it implodes and a balloon can only take so much air before it pops. EVERYTHING is finite and we have already pushed beyond the "safe operating" limits of our society and are rapidly approaching the mechanical failure point.

I still think the whole plan they are endeavoring towards is the new world order- one world government. And we are the lynch pin to their plans... If they can continue to nullify the constitution they will be well on their way. It is all about their ideal of wealth redistribution....take from the rich and spread around the world to continue to build their power base, unless it is their friends of course which will get a exemption much like what they have done with obbumer care.

They will continue to push us into servitude by over taxing, regulating and stripping our rights. That is why they want our guns so badly, so we do not have the means to fight back when we hit the breaking point..... which I think we are on the cusp of now.
