I fueled up this morning in Seattle and paid $3.99 a gallon for Regular........ and we all know the prices will all crank up even more with the summer travel season starting.
Curious thing how when lib's are in control, they do not want to talk about the high fuel prices we are paying for gas. But the moment the repub's are in office they scream and moan about the prices and how it is all crony capitalism, racism and discrimination to the poor.....

How are gas prices in your area?

I think last time I fueled in Canada, Diesel was $1.46 a litre
    so....$5.51 for a US gallon.
I truck down to the cardlock in WA state when I can, then with exchange it gets me down to $4.46 or so per US gallon @ $3.99 USD gal

Saw 3.399 (walmart) and 3.429 (kroger) on the way to work. I usually save money by buying gift cards at Kroger stores and ger 4x the fuel points, then go fill up. So if I get a $100.00 lowes/HD gift card for a project this weekend, I get 400 fuel points, which is .40 cents off a gallon of gas

Don't pass that chart around! Geesh, if the lawmakers see that they'll have a special session and vote to keep up with the Jones.

So what's up with the gas prices in Oregon? We are close to what Commiefornia pays with only 2/3 of the tax.

Damn, wish we had Krogers around here! :(

I do take advantage of the 3 cents a gallon savings, using a Walmart gift card at their MurphyUSA gas stations, though.

Also, if you don't mind getting a Chase Freedom credit card, they usually (at least one quarter per year) offer 5% cash back on gasoline purchases (which can then later be applied toward paying off your bill, or used to buy gift cards, etc). If you figure that you're going to spend the money on fuel anyways, it's a good way to save money.....just make sure you're paying it off every month, and not carrying over a balance!

In fact, they're doing that promotion twice this year, first quarter (January thru March), then again in the third quarter (July thru September). Which is only typical, since I'll be making my cross-country drive in June!

Speaking of fuel, quick question, concerning people who use heating oil (diesel fuel, basically) to heat their homes in the winter. Why don't they ever think to get a larger tank, and buy a winter's worth of fuel during the time of year when demand (and, likely, the price) is down??

My company uses sppedway gas. So I applied for a speedy rewards card. This gives my boss $.03 per gallon off of his gas bill, and I get the gas points. (He spends more than $4000.00 per month on fuel in our service trucks. (I asked).
Points are good for roughly one free tankload of gas for my pickup , per year, and I use that for hunting season.
We also have an free app for our company phones called "GasBuddy". This allows for a pretty good idea of gas prices around us, where ever we happen to be. Shows maps and distances as well, and works with GPS. Prices are uploaded by fellow members, and show when they were last updated. It is seldom wrong as a result, and you can save a bit there as well.
I just talked to the boss today about our Christmas bonuses. It usually includes gift cards to some store like Kohls ( where I do not shop) and I suggested Costco memberships instead. This would result in year round food savings, and they sell gas for as much as $.20gal less than anyone else in town, but only for members. This would save company fuel costs, and my fuel costs. Win/win. (He was impressed with idea, and it seems likely at this time.)
