I probably have a few hundred pounds of used Starbucks grounds in my flower beds. Plants love it. Yellowing patch on the lawn, I sprinkle a layer of them on it and in a week or so the grass is thick and green again. I also toss it in the chicken coop because it makes it smell better.

Never thought to ask Starbucks for grounds. I have a little container that I collect mine in. I have fertilized the berry bushes and are putting them in my containers.

Cool @ditch witch didn't know that it helps with growing grass.

Moto, look by the front door when you go into Starbucks. They usually have a little metal bin where they put bags of grounds in them. The bags are about 5 pounds each.

So I went to a few Starbucks. They said they will collect grounds for you upon request. I am going to go to one of the larger places so I can get a bunch then not have to go back. I don't really patronize their business except at Christmas (cranberry bliss) so I feel guilty for asking for their cast offs.

I've seen those , I thought they were for sanitary things & could never understand why they were not in more discreet areas . Boy was I off kilter.

If you do vermiculture, the worms LOVE the grounds.
