Our beloved Alaskan buddy, and a very close friend of mine, @BTPost , aka Comms Guru extraordinaire will be interviewed on the live broadcast of "In Case Of Emergency" on Liberty Movement Radio, tonight at 7PM (Eastern). The interview will cover HAM Radio, it's uses and necessities, and communications in a post disaster scenario. In Case Of Emergency is a show for preppers, beginning preppers, and with preparedness in mind. The show airs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on Liberty Movement Radio, 7-9 Eastern. If you miss the live show, the show is rebroadcast the next day and there is an archive of each show (minus the very first one) available on the site. I got this information first hand from the show's host. Apparently he's an author and a member of Survival Monkey. Tune in to support @BTPost and the prepping community, as well as to get great information from someone who has been involved in HAM and comms for decades. You can tune in by visiting: Liberty Movement Radio LMR There are several options for external players (I use windows Media Player so I can browse while listening). There is even an option to call in on your phone to listen to the show live (the number is under the various players). This call only streams the radio show as audio to your phone, you will not be able to interact with the hosts/guests. I know. I tried. Tune in, I know I will.
Sorry I missed it. That is a busy time for me. Maybe they will archive it for those of us that missed it.
I believe it is archived on the site, and another broadcast will be in a few days. Details are on the site.
Yes, I agreed to come back for another two hours next Wed..... we covered a lot of ground, but barely scratched the surface..... and My buddy Don, the Radio Fellow, is a very good Guy....
I was just on Liberty Movement Radio's web site and they have just posted the Archive show from last night... Liberty Movement Radio LMR
Ah! I happened to hear the replay today and that is what introduced me to this site. I'm a newbie ham. This site seems to encompass all that I love.
I'll have to check this site out when I've got more time for being on the computer. Hats off to you BT, so they want you back again. Right on, how did you mange that w/o being one of those typical idiot Doomsday Prepper pukes.
The host apparently hates Doomsday Preppers. He is really trying to paint preppers in a vastly better light.
So true. I heard one of the people focused on Doomsday Preppers interviewed after the show aired (I happened to also see that particular episode). He explained how they edit it to make them look like a crazy person. They also shoot for a week straight, all day, to the point that the person is exhausted and of course seems crazy. I know this is the perception my more "liberal" friends have of preppers. Unfortunate.
