Okay, I'm not sure this is really tin foil hat material, as every thing I look into makes it look more than obvious. I can easily see big agriculture and big pharma teaming up to create a society of chronically ill, overweight, sugar addicts that are hooked on sugar until they turn diabetic, then shift their sugar buying dollars towards insulin meds and test strips and such, on which their life depends. Evil - yes, but if the people are dumb enough to buy it, the industry will sell it.

Enter big government... The above situation has been noticed by many people I am sure, including government types. And I can easily see most of them turning a blind eye and not saying a word to get that big sugar/pharma check. But ALL of them ? Or is there something more nefarious going on ?

Imagine a population of chronically ill, in some cases critically ill, diabetic, and even some that just think they are sick ( See: "Joe versus the Volcano" - Tom Hanks gets a "brain cloud" ). A population that needs, or thinks they need their daily/weekly medication or they will die. A medication that is controlled by government ( Obamacare ). Then you'd have a population that would do pretty much whatever you want them to do whenever you want. Hmmmm.. Is this a plan in motion and at what stage ?

Naaawww, nevermind. I just remembered the government is way to incompetent to pull something like that off.. The health insurance industry though....

Oh, and if you think you can just quit sugar... Try it..

You can do it, but it's harder than you think. There are some here on SM that have done it. But it's not easy.

It's not a "theory", the proof is everywhere around us. It's not a crazy theory, it's in practice every day. Go to the store and try to buy an item, anything. Chances are, it has high fructose corn syrup, sugar from GMO beets or a man-made sucrose derivative.

I only use pure, organic unrefined sugar, honey and if necessary, Stevia.

If you want "proof" about a global conspiracy or a nation-wide conspiracy to make people sick to control them, it's certainly out there, but that shouldn't even be the primary concern. The fact is, it's happening no matter WHO is to blame, and even if it's something as simple as corporate greed or incompetence, the fact remains that we are steadily being poisoned and we have nobody to blame but ourselves. If you want to be healthier, change your diet. If you are too poor to buy organic, at least stay clear of fast food and synthetic fat free products which cause more harm than good.

When we factor in the profits of FDA (yes they accept payouts), big pharma and investments held by politicians and corporations --it becomes clear that the motives are moot. It's happening, and the people are sick. Well, at least with endless drugs and treatments and socialized Obamacare, they will get better...right?

I'm glad I'll never live to see this. Or at least it would be highly unlikely I'll live to see it.

The dark underbelly of sustainable development: Agenda 21 - NaturalNews.com

Ohhh.. It might be attempted in the years left of life expectancy I have remaining. But I'll never live to see it come to fruition. And neither will a good number of "them"...

And the lock boxes on the commercial buildings they talk about in the article, those are for the fire department, at least that's the official reasoning. That is a State law in Michigan. I have to have one of those on my building. And if there is a fire, fine.. If somebody comes in when they are not supposed to. Well then there's a reason I've posted this sign in my shop

Lots of cases already being pushed across the country where folks are being tazed, shot and killed or just fined and persecuted for their lawn being to high, and especially for farming within city limits. Can't grow your own food, that's a crime. It's "unsightly" or "against the town policy". And that all trumps the Constitution and our basic rights according to the idiots in government.

Agenda 21 is everywhere already -It's the entire green movement, and its policy is to control all water, food, land, agriculture and every being.

People all living in massive cities inside apartments probably won't ever happen. But, people don't own property, they only think they do. Progress is being made for it to come into being, but there's still a long way to go.

They are everywhere, "Code Enforcement", and they are the brownshirts of the Agenda 21 elitists. Remember, this is designed to operate from the bottom to the top, so it all STARTS locally. If people do not defeat this locally, it will spread unchecked to the top, and can quickly gain momentum.

I've switched to (organic) coconut sugar, at least for my daily cups of wakeup juice(which is my main source of white sugar on a regular basis). I like it because for baking, the subsitution ratio for white sugar is 1:1, you just use the exact same amount. It doesn't seem as sweet to me, but that's okay. Plan to get a bunch of honey this fall too.

No it is not! I will admit that I am a sugar addict. I do not drink soda but I get really ugly if I go to long without cake. I have cut down to almost without but sugar in in everything, Why does Lawry's feel the need to put sugar in their garlic salt? There is no need. Plus I am like @BTPost, I couldn't imagine life without peanut butter.

    @ motomom34,

You are right, there is a consistent effort to put sugar into everything. It could possibly be as simple as economic motivation by the marketing industry, changing people's tastes over time to include a higher sugar intake. Without it, they feel it isn't as tasty as it used to be.

I hate that there is sugar in salsa. There is far too many carbs in salsa, and HFCS or just corn syrup is added because people these days will not buy it without it tasting a bit sweet. I buy the pizza kits (where you mix water in the flour to make the dough, spread the sauce and cheese, and bake) that used to have a tart tasting pizza sauce. Now it is sweet and I have to add copious amounts of hot sauce to overcome it. I miss the old sauce.

There are many other examples, but they are too long to list without getting boring.

More carbs are just a bad side effect. Having a higher blood sugar concentration can lead to bacterial infection, where they are harder to kill and thrive in.

Sugar addiction was discovered by a female talkshow-host as a mean to explain her weightproblems.

Everybody needs carbs and it is not an addiction. We humans, like other mamals (animals or even life in general I would guess) just don't have a natural defence against over-eating. Our evolution hasn't caught up with the idea that this food can be stored in fridges and coolers and more food can be gotten easily and there will be no starvation.

I have cut back on my sugar. I am finding more and more that I no longer like the way I feel after eating cake or other sugar laden treats. I do have a question regarding the substitute sweeteners. If I stop at a gas station to get a cup of coffee I see a blue pack, pink, yellow plus a white packet of normal sugar and a tan packet of raw. Which is the lessor of evils?

I have a sweetener at home that has:
    NutraFlora(FOS)
    Xylitol
    Micronized Sucralose
    Lo Han
    Stevia
A little pinch goes a long ways. So what do people use for sweetener when they are out and about?

Halloween just passed and what did most kids do? they went door to door collecting a years worth of candy that will be consumed on two weeks. That is the beginnings of the addiction process. Then there are the sweetened kids cereals that just 40 years ago we thought were so benign.

Yes we all need carbohydrates, but complex carbohydrates.

I am an addict, but I'm trying to quit. Stevia for sweetener, I try to turn a blind eye to the candy in the house (wife buys it like it is oxygen and we live on Mars), no sweetened juices or foods, no ice cream (although it is medicinal), no white bread, and it ain't easy!

I am firmly convinced that Cancer has a direct link to sugar.....

    Thanks Brokor!

Ganado,, that was a hard one for us. We now eat crackers instead. You can make your own cheeze-its and potato chips, vanilla wafers. My friends makes them all the time. I will get the recipes for you if you would like them.

Did you notice when the potato chips started to change? It was still quite a while before we stopped buying chips and fritos from Frito-Lay. They must be full of gmos now. I cannot have them in the house either. We do buy off-brand chips and fritos that are pretty good.
