Picked this up for a plate carrier project and thought I'd show it off prior to posting the armor review.

Tactical Tailor makes some great stuff right here in Washington State. This mag pouch sells for $77.50 and holds both AR mags as well as pistol mags. The 30 round PMAGs (shown) are held in with a bungie retention strap. The pistol mags (Glock 19 15 round shown) are held in place by a velcro strap or by magnets that are sewn into the panel. The magnet retention is pretty strong. The panel is attached to my carrier with TT MALICE Clips.

The pouch is very flat and very well made. I would consider getting a few more to add to some bags that have MOLLE panels on the inside or outside.

    From Tactical Tailor's store:

The 5.56 Triple Magna Mag Combo Pouch combines two of our most popular pouches, the 5.56 Triple Mag Panel and the Magna Mag Triple Pistol Mag Pouch. Three 30 round AR style mags are held securely in open top pouches by tough bungee retention cords while pockets on the front of the panel hold three standard capacity single or double stack pistol magazines, secured by ultra-strong rare-earth magnets with the option of hook and loop flaps for extra retention. Attaches to modular webbing with three long MALICE Clips® (included). Available in Black, Coyote Brown, MultiCam®, PenCott BadLands® and PenCott GreenZone®.

    MADE IN THE USA

That is about 1 level above high speed.

It looks like you can slide the mags in and out without a problem and the use of earth magnets is a nice surprise. Usually, mag carriers are tough to break in. That looks really well made, as TT reputation denotes.

Oh yeah. They slide out easily and seat with a slight tug and silent 'snap'.
It's tough to get excited about something like a mag pouch but this is beyond anything I've ever used.

Just wait til you see my review on the US Made armor and carrier... ;)

Quick question on the mounting... can you get a double stack with this on the front plate....?
I assume you could do a high/low mount and double the capacity if wanted..... with a layered approach to your carry.
I only bring that up as a perimeter security component vs a scouting config which will require a bit of a lighter load with more maneuverability...
Each load out is obviously mission specific but interesting concept as most carry a primary and secondary weapon along side their LBE, LB vest or whatever in each situation.

If I am not mistaken, TT and most other vendors make single mag carriers, so you can build your rack that way if you like.

This model comes with magnets and velcro/fabric closures (tucked behind the mags in the pictures)

You could probably run high and low with this rig depending on your PALS real estate - I don't think I would
Unfortunately, this piece has joined it's brethren in the bin of misfit gear already - it was replaced with a Haley Strategic Partners D3C rig... One of these days I'll get it right. or not ;)
