    They are rugged, durable, can't seem to break them, really. You can attach as many together as you like to form a giant beacon...and they also come in IR, which is cool. I don't have those yet.

    I got the newer version of it this week and as a kit instead of just the light itself (2 heads and a tube) so I got these little glow domes with it, shortened tube, and the mini version of the iris (which is like that cyalume thing you can stick a chemlight in and twist to dim the light as needed) which wasn't originally included in 2019 so its nice they added it, as well as the extra pack of batteries good for 1 cell replacement of each head and the convenient helix loop accessory so you can hang it easier or strap it to things like a molle web or pack strap. Really good brightness off of it more than I was expecting, took it for an evening walk once the sun went down after opening it. I put my middle finger through the helix and let it hang with my arm at my side. Lot's of fun, wish I hadn't slept on this for so long (got distracted by lot of stuff in life at the time) but at least I finally got it now (y)


    Also interesting to note it doesn't have the NSNs posted on anywhere now anymore, just CAGE numbers like CountyComm/Maratac does. Wonder if they're no longer requisitioned by the armed forces anymore and you can only buy with you own money at the NEX/PX/AAFES counter now.

    Nice, I imagine I should be good for quite a well then since I got 12 spares. I do like that it's more self contained now without the black battery covers poking out the ends like on the LB2.

    The Short Tube they include with it is pretty handy too and still diffuses the light pretty well, even top or bottom there's only a small dark spot so it emits pretty well omnidirectionally just like a chemical glowstick. Lot of the cheaper electric chemlights only cast downward from the LED with most the light only on the bottom of their diffuser tube, I get night bright light out 90 degrees from the tube on the LazerBrite.

    Easy to pocket carry or lash to the strap of my daypack with the included Helix Loop.


    They got the green tone perfectly on this BTW very chemlight-like glow.
