The thing with the birds was crazy. The pope won't be announcing that. I doubt the pope is a big fan of islam either.

I didn't see either dove killed "with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse"...and apart from some aerial argybargy, there is no evidence that either the seagull or the crow gorged themselves upon the doves' flesh...I think it safe to conclude that "The Rapture" and the apocalypse predicted in the book of Revelation isn't nigh. What we have here is natural behaviour by natural birds in a natural world...behaviour which would have passed entirely unnoticed, nor much cared about, but for the media coverage of a leader of one of the world's "great" religions being present.

It is tempting to overlay supernatural explanations to natural phenomena, particularly if there is a scriptural quote that the natural event can be shoehorned into. In the scheme of things...the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse will probably have more weighty things in mind than vivisecting white doves.

It is clear from Revelation 19:20-21 that the birds are gorging on "the flesh of the kings of earth and their armies". Unless one can be convinced that those doves had the mark of the beast upon them, and that they are members of the antichrist's host, there is no sound reason to believe that the magical icing has manifested itself upon the cake of Christian end time prophecy.

The New Pope keeps making all kinds of VERY CONTROVERSIAL statements, most of which are in direct conflict with the Bible.

Any standard Christian Bible, King James, NIV.....
None I have ever read said that an Atheist can get into Heaven as easily as a Believer, or That CHRIS-LAM was as exceptable alternative, or Homosexual Priest were OK for ministry, Inviting worshippers of a false Prophet, to pray to their prophet in the house of God, that Mary is more important than Jesus, or, That Salvation for Christians can only be achieved through the Mother Church, which at the time of the Christ did not even exist.
My Bible tells me that sexual immorality is wrong, Jesus is the way to Salvation, avoid false prophets, and Idols, and Only through faith in the one true God shall we see eternal Life!
    That Bible!

Ok a Christian Bible KJV I think the count is around 233 versions of the Christian Bible. I have read more then than 30 of them. No one seems to follow it for sure not the pope. It's a personal thing so why care what they do your god is just that your god.

I don't care what they do! They have to do what they do in order that Gods plan come to fruition! I am not threatened by this, rather I am Encouraged by it!
I was merely pointing out that scriptures confirm the one world Religious push, one world monetary system (quickly approaching), one world Government (Very Quickly Approaching).
The movements by one of the Largest religious sects in the world to incorporate, Islam into Christianity, is a sign, just like the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers drying up, is a sign!
Israel being surrounded on all side's by its enemies, Hamas attacking Israel with rockets and the World condemning Israel for responding, .................. are all signs, prophesied in (I would wager) any Christian Bible you opened up. The only difference in the Majority of Bibles are the Phrasings of certain words for instance, King James calls them Whores, where as NIV called them prostitutes, other than semantics, there is not a lot of deviation from Book to Book as to content.
Unlike you I have not read 30 of them?really? cover to cover, It was a lot of work reading my way through once. I have my favorite books that I read from over and over, Revelations Being the ABOVE ALL, Acts, Daniel, Hosea, most of the Prophets, favorite.
The point is, and the post was titled

Not what bible do you read?
This is a religious forum and I felt that this new revelation from The POPE, one in a long list for such a short Reign, was worthy of noting, as it directly conflicts with ANY BIBLE, I have seen, as do many of the proclamations he has made since coming to power!

I myself am agnostic and have studied religion as well as lots of history and pre-history. I read very fast so reading a book is not a hard thing for me. I do in fact believe in God but see no need for organized religion.

I respect any ones following of a religion as long as it is not leading them to try to kill me. I do also believe we are on a path to the end. The Vatican has change it stance greatly over time. They now say they believe in life on other planets. A complete 180 degree turn around from the historical stance.

The versions of the Christian Bible do in fact differ a great deal. I see from your replies you have a view from a small box. I mean you no disrespect, as overall I agree with your view of what is happening I’m just not as willing to rely on one source of information.

It is telling for anyone watching that whatever they believe the pieces are falling into place. I am watching in somewhat of a state of amazement as things unfold before us. We are surely in for a wild ride.

I too , am waiting for inconsistencies in different versions. Catholics, 7th day Adventists, Jehovah Witnesses, and a few others have their own Bibles, as such anyone who writes their own and tampers with the Original texts and teachings cannot as such be called a Christian Bible, rather a Doctrinal Interpretation would be a better categorization.
Have no problem with bibles that include the Apocrypha, these books were in the original bible until edited out, and the book of Enoch was found in the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Talk about a wild Book to read! Also the book of Jasher, which is also mentioned in 2 Samuel wich has been edited out, also very interesting read!
The wild ride is just beginning!
    Birthing Pains!
The real trauma will most likely start sometime next year, beginning with an economic collapse, based on Numerous Articles on Mega-Rich dumping Stock, Other Countries not being able to view the Gold they have stored here ( Hmmmmmm?), 17 trillion+ in debt, 200 trillion in unfunded future liabilities, I could go on and on and back these claims with articles, but you probably could check the facts as fast as me.
The end time are truly upon us, as far as a Rapture event before it all goes down, I don't believe we are going anywhere until the 7th and final Trumpet Sounds, we are going through the ugliness along with everyone else. Its hard to behead the Saints if their not here, or persecute Christians if their all gone. etc.,etc.
I know what lies ahead will be a complete and total trial of faith for all! I am getting as prepared as I can, and now feel a lot more comfortable that I will not have to submit to getting marked, because I or my family is starving!
Death may come for me as a Christian Believer, but as all those people being slaughtered overseas refusing to forsake Christ, I will gladly die that death.
P.S. Who would have ever thought that Crucifixions would come back into style?

Dogfood said: "The versions of the Christian Bible do in fact differ a great deal."

The Catholic canon contains 73 books.
The Protestant canon contains 66 books.
The Eastern Orthodox canon contains 78 books.
The Ethiopian canon contains 81 books.

Each of these canons are represented as a "Christian Bible" and are versions of the Christian Bible. Each version contains different text. Therefore, the claim that "The versions of the Christian Bible do in fact differ a great deal." is a true statement.

Even within a given book of the New Testament, there exist inconsistencies. John Stuart Mill, a minister, theologian, and student of the Bible who spent far more time studying the Christian Bible than anyone who is likely to post on this forum, found and published 30,000 discrepancies between 100 Greek New Testament codices. A discussion of each discrepancy and difference within the various bibles and their source materials would require its own forum.

Early church fathers were well aware of these discrepancies. Origen, in the third century, replying to criticisms of the discrepancies in the early versions of the Bible, admitted that some Christian writers and copyists were remodeling the Gospels to their own ends.

For open minded Christians, the discrepancies within the original source material, and contradictions within the various books of the Bible (whichever Bible they choose to read), don't represent a serious impediment to their being able to derive comfort and wisdom from the reading and study of it. To deny the existence of those discrepancies and contradictions though, is disingenuous.

As I said I respect others religion so if someone clams to be a Cristian it’s not my place to say they are not. Many of the stores and Prophecy in the Bible are in fact much older than the religion and the book. I’m have no interest in challenging your beliefs.

I do as I said believe the prophecy in the more common Christian Bibles are coming to pass. I also as you take comfort that as they come true we can see larger hands at work and know it is happen for the best.

Good post Gman. We need to be ever vigilant and watchful for not only the anti-Christ but also the false prophet. Many believe that a charismatic Pope fits the prophetic picture of this false prophet. Time will tell but there is no denying the heretical teachings coming from this institution.
You are correct about Chelloveck not reading the link. He never does, he is a predator stalking threads just looking for any place to pounce and inject his sputum. Ignore him. As for the others who would argue semantics, they would argue the flaws in individual trees instead of admiring the forest.
The so-called inconsistencies in scripture are that type of argument. The oldest versions of scripture ever found, including the Dead Sea Scrolls have been found to be verbatim, consistent with modern scripture. The only inconsistencies arise from human misinterpretations. Some of which actually change the meaning somewhat. For instance "Thou shalt not kill" has been proven to be more correctly translated as " murder" not the generic "kill". But the message and the content has been proven to be consistent throughout the ages.
The other canons or versions of the Bible such as the Gnostic version have the same text but add books that we're never part of scripture. These are found to be excluded from the final biblical canon for good cause. They are very suspect in their origins and are usually no more than attempts to legitimize different theologies.
Then there are books that were excluded from the common Bible that have been found to be often quoted, even by Christ himself, in the text of accepted gospels. They should have been included and are an important part of any serious bible students library. In particular the book of Jasher and even the book of Enoch is gaining favor as having been excluded without good cause.
So be ever vigilant brother and do not be discouraged by naysayers and unbelievers. Their education and intelligence prohibits them from seeing the truth. Scripture says that "all their wisdom will be as naught". They will continue to point to the perceived flaws in the trees as reason to not enter the forest. Pray for them. For we know that time is short and the hour is late. There will be many who fall for the great delusion and who will champion the great peacemaker and his prophet. But in the end there will be great wailing and gnashing of teeth.
We who know the unerring word of scripture, who know that our creator has told us the ending from the beginning, know that these things must come to pass and we keep our lamps full of oil and keep vigilant watch. We are the watchmen on the tower and if we fail to give warning of approaching danger then it is we who are held accountable.

I have been watching all that has been happening for 2 years now. Never really paid much attention to it until I woke up Spiritually one day and felt an overwhelming urge to prepare, it happened in one day. I was a totally different person the next. I questioned myself and prayed about it over and over, still couldn't shake it so I submitted and began to prepare which led me to a lot of different information sources, that was in November of 2011.
As I gathered info on surviving a "Catastrophe" I discovered Youtube!
Links to other things began surfacing as I searched, being involved in Ministry I started broadening and crosschecking facts on Christian Video's that caught my attention, pretty soon a pattern began to emerge, There is a direct Correlation between Bible prophesy and The Roman Catholic Church.
    Rev. 17
8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come. 9 "This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.
The Kings spoken about , many don't realize, That The pope is the King of the Sovereign Nation of the Vatican, This Title and distinction was Bestowed him by none other than Mousalini himself.( Google Him to see what he was all about)

There is Absolutely a lot of stuff happening right now that directly correlates with the WORD! It's ramping up just like the labor pains described by Christ Himself, and then there's this, If one cannot see the truth in this, truly they are asleep!
    2 Timothy 3
"1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
Boy I could crash this server posting links that show all of this to be true.
Wait a minute, I thought we were supposed to love everybody? Christ sent his disciples out and told them to go to a house and share the good news, If they receive you Bless them and the house, if not Dust yourself off as a testimony against them and Move on.
    • Mark 6:11 NIV
And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave, as a testimony against them.
    • Luke 9:5 NIV
      • If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them."
I have never seen anywhere in the Bible where it says we are supposed to Camp out and beat people into submission with the Word, only to present them with the Good News and then let them choose for themselves.
So in conclusion; Choose or Not or Wait, In My Humble Opinion, if your living in America you've pretty much had the chance to choose by now, you can't get through the day without hearing the name JESUS! It's on you now!

When it comes to spiritual discussions, some are just here to poison the waters. God has sent his Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth including what the Bible means and what is to come. There are several major turning points happening now. If a nonbeliever is here to seek the truth great. Even so no one knows the whole truth and even heathens may have useful information. Also Christians must be careful and not assume they are always right.
Anyway the article shows that the Pope is likely of the apostate. This has been long predicted but shocking to me.
Sometimes I want to shake people and say, why can't you see. But it does no good. God said he would send strong lies to trap those that refuse the truth.
