Top one is a Lipsey's exclusive Gen 4 G19 9mm, in flat Dark Earth, with Cerakote coated slide. Bottom one is a Gen 3 G22 .40 cal RTF2. Leaning against a case of 500 rds of 9mm... good to go!
I like that Dark Earth scheme and have been thinking about doing mine like that, for the slide portion.
I agree I have what was a Gen-2 G17 that I reworked to a 17/19. The slide finish is very worn and I'm going to try a Duracoat blend to get close as possible to a FDE.
Duracoat is NOT the equal of Cerakote, but is adequate for lightly used items not subject to surface wear. The advantage is no baking needed. I coated my carry piece with D, and it doesn't handle holster wear at all.
