Hate to admit this, but I'm starting to run low on powder for my .45acp and 9mm. I've used the above for ever, but all things end. What are ya'll using nowadays? I mainly shoot 185-200gn in the .45 and 115-147gn in the 9mm. TIA.

I am an IMR/Hercules Power Man, and I use BullsEye for most ALL my Pistol Rounds.... Very Fast Powder, and especially NICE for short Barreled Weapons. I use IMR 4895, and 4064, for my Long Guns.....

Powder is still a rare commodity around here and the largest sporting goods store in town usually does not have any. Saw some Bullseye and Unique a couple weeks ago there and when I went back two days later it was all gone. I agree with Bruce and use Bullseye to load all my pistol rounds from 9mm to 45ACP and Unique for 44 mag.

I have been using TiteGroup and Win231 for 124gr 9 and 230dr 45acp. I have found out that both of those now seem to be unobtainum, at least in my AO. I'm now looking in to HP-38, CFE pistol, 700-X or AutoComp. All of those will load 9 and 45 according to the data on the Hodgdon/IMR/Winchester load data site. Now it is just down to what I can find.

I used to use Bullseye for .38/.357 when I loaded for them, and Unique for .44/.41 mag. Like you, I use IMR for my belted mags.

I got hooked on 452AA way back when I was shooting matches. Worked great for auto loaders. I still use a lot of mil surplus for my 5.56 and 7.62.

I used Unique for all my pistol calibers- .380, 9mm, .38, .357, .40, and .45- I've also tied clays for 9mm and .45acp without any problems.

If you want to experiment, all the powder manufacturers have loads on their websites for the most common calibers. You'd be surprised just what powers can be used with what caliber, they just may not perform very well out of your pistol.

Unique is my go-t0 powder for pistol loads.

I have used Red dot and Blue dot for some of my .38/357/44 mag rounds... but it's been a while since I reloaded .45... I believe I used Hodgdon HS6 under a 200 grain JHP...
