Wow, She thinks she deserves more but Sue Ann Hamm is 56 you would think $975 million would make a comfortable life..

Memo to Harold Hamm PRENUPTIAL agreement!

Not everyone gets to see a check for $975 million with their name on it. But after a highly contentious divorce, Sue Ann Arnall is looking for more.

She rejected the check her ex-husband Harold Hamm sent her Monday, according to his attorneys.

Hamm agreed to pay the nearly $1 billion back in November. He's somewhat of a legend in the oil business, having built Continental Resources (CLR) from the ground up and led the development of North Dakota's Bakken oil field.

But Arnall, an economist and a lawyer who held executive positions in the company, has said she is entitled to more. She filed for an appeal, claiming that the fortune was due to both her work and his.

$975 to me right now would be fine. I could buy everything I wanted from all the nursery catalogs. I have no idea where I'd plant it all, but so what? :p

But the taxes...you would "only" get $500 to $700 million could you get by?

I didn't post everything I wanted, meant to say that $975 would be fine enough for me, $975 MILLION, I wouldn't want that much. Even after all the taxes, it would be way too much. I'd have to fund a mobile pet clinic for our area, buy up all the real estate in our subdivision I could, build my stone cottage I want that is totally off the grid, along with my root cellar and HUGE greenhouse. I'd get a milk goat and fainting goats, as well. Plus a couple miniature horses. What's left over after building my dream estate and furnishing it(including books and games and DVDs, prepping supplies, etc) will be used so that mom can travel to see the places she's always wanted to, then when she's done, it's my turn. Then after that, put a couple million aside for living expenses(property taxes and satellite internet and such). Whatever money is left over after that will be donated. The mobile pet clinic for our area, and get a medical/dental clinic built here, that I will also fund.

975 million.... :) I would buy one of them old Nike sites or create some supper bunker type facility and do it to the tee.... buy out all the neighbors in the area and get a bit more space. Oh and toy's... man a bunch of toy's. ;)

But first I would spend a huge chunk on taking care of the local issues... homeless, disadvantaged, abuse victims and so on.... anonymously of course!!

After all bills paid, and future bills, covered, family taken care of, ......I'd buy land and go completely off grid. Hunt, fish, plant what I want (within the law) have friends from here and elsewhere is for fun (with a proper shooting range of course), and I would NOT DONATE any excess money.
As recently pointed out, donations are often wasted. I would however, become a patron to local businesses. Those I like and agree with, would get assistance if they wanted it, at very low terms.
