A clean garage is a certain path to an unhappy wife.

OTOH those old Army blankets can hide a multiple of sins, errrr...... purchases.

I bought a cheap Campbell-Hausfeld 120v fluxcore-mig machine. I used it on one project so far. Bench vise, grinders and all that jazz I have accumulated over the years. I bought a small mapp gas torch setup for dinking around with, to see if brazing was something I was interested in learning. Have yet to even mess with it. As with anything, the more tools you buy, the more tools you think you need.

The above is a small sample of some of the more basic hand tools one will need/use in metal working. If there is an interest, we could expand on the use of these and other tools?

Surprised you don't have rollers on them, saves your back from 6G position contortions when spooling things up.

While I"ve certainly spent my time on the firing line in the past, I really haven't done much pipelining in a lot of years. Knees and back gave out. Never could handle all that "Johnny Golden Arm" crap too well. One thing that will shut up many pipeliners is asking how they like running low/hyd rod. A LOT of them can't weld up hill to save their life as all they've done is downhand pipe welding..;)

I was shopping in the local Rural King farm store last night and wandered into the welding department. They have lots of Hobart gear. Noticed that the Hobart torch tips, hmmm... looked very familiar. Upon closer exanimation of the fine print saw they were Victor compatible. Saw the new 120 volt MIG units there, hmmm... those looked reasonable too. Might have to get my hands on one and update my opinion on 120 v MIG units.
