So is most of Europe. We're screwed. Think of all the third world nations the U.S. has donated food to and placed them on GMO seed bank lists.

    Staggering.

The Orson Wells version predicts GMO's will wipe out humanity entirely.

Uhm yeah, look at what happened to Mr Wheaties himself...

I don't know if I agree with the whole GMO/Superbugs. IMO the reason these bugs that cause death and illness are a result of our anti-bacterial addiction. Are those anti-bacterial lotions, soaps and sanitizers helping or hindering our immune system? Plus ask any old fashion type person and they will say get dirty, get exposed, live your life like they did years ago.

Yes and no. The super bugs did not exist when they got dirty/exposed, so the risks are higher now. Aids did not exist, chronic wasting disease did not exist, the avian flu did not exist, so it may be too late to just roll in everything, and see what sticks.....

That is a long time, a lot of people. And they are just noticing this now. At what point do "they" decide to notify the public? That article is lacking on details, maybe for a reason.

It's Triclosan in the antibacterial soaps and sanitizers, not good for the body, but also not responsible for immune problems. I can see the concern for using antibacterial ointment excessively, though. Still, these pale in comparison to GMO threats.

The "simple" explanation, which doesn't cover the money and the extended hazards including immune deficiencies...

The extended version, but most will not even watch it and pay attention long enough for it to do any good...Skip ahead to about 7 minutes to get directly to some immune information. I encourage watching the whole video.

It's enough to give you nightmares, and it should. The only thing is, these nightmares are real.

Here is one of the best write ups on this UCLA fiasco, seem that the FDA knew about this, yet provided no guidelines on how to decontaminate these high tech medical devices, The FDA Doesn't Care If You Die in [Market-Ticker] U.S. FDA knew devices spread fatal 'superbug' but does not order fix| Reuters

As for why the rise of the super bugs, I do truly believe that all the reasons cited above with the over use of the antibiotics are what led to the creation of the drug resistant super-cooties. Bacterium, spores, and viruses are apart of the "survival of the fittest" mantra.

There is no easy answer or fix well in site unless barring a major medical/science breakthrough.

The FDA has know about this issue since 2009, (Reuters) - U.S. health regulators have known since at least 2009 that the medical devices at the center of the "superbug" outbreak at UCLA can transmit lethal infections but have not recommended any new safety requirements, a lapse that threatens patient safety, experts in hospital-acquired infections said. Since 2009! It is just like the CDC knew there was an ebola outbreak and never put out guidelines. It's like .gov is trying to wipe us out.
