Not much snow to some but work still needs to get done and cattle fed in a safe way. Safety First, sleet is on top of the snow and will turn to ice. Jack Rabbit was sleepin under the truck, what a rude way to wake up. I keep my new friend close. Sleeve Pocket was handy for Bota keys. While I was out I searched for parts to start a new sheath for my New Friend. Found those suckers all trying to sneak away. My new friend in the light of day on its new base plate. Cattle waiting for the cow cake. Low Light and Low Feed Ring Make Mine a Cactus Day.
Yup a very fine blade for sure. A BEAR special. It's a knife that deserves more than one type of sheath.
Yeah, had a dusting of light, powdery snow in north central Texas today, and, like most southern states, it sent everyone into a real tizzy! But hey, it got me off work about 3 hours early (with pay), so we could drive home before the streets got bad. Of course, having been raised in the snow belt, and learned how to drive in the snow, it's a breeze for me. The only thing I do is sit at home, so I'm not out on the roads with the plethora of idiots that DON'T know how to drive around here! LOL
Thanks @melbo and @HK_User ... The Bear's Bear Knife in the shop... that was ground, heat treated and sharpened the exact same way... is now up to 1134 manila rope cuts... still making clean cuts, cutting leather and making curls in wood... so her sister that you have there should be good for at least that... hope the finger is all healed....
