Aloha Monkeys, Something for the little Monkey cuties out there... I know some your have them Bought these when my Daughter was younger but only put one up for her... Dad was always pushing or winding her up all the way while she sat in the seat so she could spin her way down full speed... she loved that! (who am I kidding... this thing is commercial duty and so Daddy used to enjoy sitting and swinging on this when she was not around ) I have two unused sets with big blue seats and plastisol covered chain to prevent pinching... yes they are expensive but her safety came first! The sets are about $110 each... you can check them out here http://www.swingsetmall.com/molded-f...astisol-chain/ http://www.swingsetmall.com/galvaniz...-swing-hanger/ $80 each shipped to the USA (large flat rate box so about $20 is shipping) Took some pics of my Daughters swing so you could see how it is set up.... Thanks for looking... Have a great week! Take Care and God Bless, Bear
I saw the swing at @Bear's place. Nice! Didn't know you had some for sale. I may be interested in buying them for my monkeys. How big a beam is required to mount them?
Depends on the monkey's size . Silver back like me , 8X8 safe , 12X12 good for two with fun attached !!
Mahalo @ghrit. But you don't know how much my wifee and I weigh. Would I be able to put two swings side by side on the same beam?
LOL... wow... that's a lot of discussion on a swing.... @Hanzo The one I mounted is to a 4x8 beam... and that span is 7 feet... drilled all the way through it and bolted it in.... Saw a lot of use over the past years.... not just my Daughter... including me when I was about 220lbs... full swinging on this .... no flex... no creaking... no cracking.... still holding strong... 4x6 is plenty... just for you @Hanzo I can make 1/4" plates to match the beam size... instead of using washers or fender washers like I did Take a look and make sure you can access the top... like I said... from the outside... normally there is blocking to prevent the wind getting under the eaves and roof... , hurricane standards after Iwa and Inikik... mine is that way... from the outside it looks flush.... from the inside it's open.... Thanks for the input everyone.... Have a great day! Take Care and God Bless, Bear
