    I have to disagree with one of your facts. Bananas can and do reproduce without the hand of man. I have seen this first hand. Banana trees, bananas themselves, banana root systems or whatever, can be scattered on moist fertile soil miles from their previous location to grow and thrive and produce fruiting trees totally without the hand of man by Hurricanes. Believe it or not. Tac

    Odd. If the earth is getting heavier every day, then our gravity should be increasing by the same margin, meaning the pull on the moon is also increasing.

    Gravity isn't a weight driven. It's the mass of the earth's core that affects gravity

    Correct, it isn't weight, it's the mass, and not just the core. However, weight can be related directly to mass. Each mote of dust has mass that will add to the earth's total gravity attraction. One might also assume the moon gets hit with a few dust motes as well. That said, there is much more to orbital dynamics than mass, so the moon's slowly increasing average distance is otherwise affected.

    Gravity is most accurately described by the general theory of relativity (proposed by Albert Einstein in 1915) which describes gravity, not as a force, but as a consequence of the curvature of spacetime caused by the uneven distribution of mass/energy.( from your article)
    Why do mass and distance affect gravity?
    Why do mass and distance affect gravity?
    Gravity is a fundamental underlying force in the universe. The amount of gravity that something possesses is proportional to its mass and distance between it and another object. This relationship was first published by Sir Issac Newton. His law of universal gravitation says that the force (F) of gravitational attraction between two objects with Mass1 and Mass2 at distance D is:
    F = G(mass1*mass2)/D squared."
    IE: mass DOES effect gravity.

    Trivia can be a hoot and educational as well, but always keep an eye out for the updates. Teeth for example, actually do heal themselves. (Same as the brain.) There is an enzyme in saliva that continuously lays down new layers of enamel, protecting the tooth against both wear and decay. Unfortunately, it only works on clean teeth. That was no problem in the old days--you just ate something you chased the buzzards away from and then washed it down with a slurp of puddle water. Then you were good to go until you ate again next week. Plenty of time between meals for all the little toothies to get brawny.
    Unfortunately, in the present day we eat frequently, and then brush our teeth with a nice toxic Fluoride toothpaste. That not only rots the teeth (and harms people in many other ways), but it also stops that enzyme in its tracks.
    Want better teeth? Avoid all Fluorides and never use toothpaste. Brush with plain soap instead. (Note: Not perfumed, and not antibacterial. Just plain old super-cheap soap). It takes seven rinses to get toothpaste out of your mouth. Soap takes two.
    Brush with soap and your teeth will be so clean they'll squeek when you rub them. And that plaque on your tongue that toothpaste can't touch will go away, too. Right along with the Death Breath, if you have it.

    Hard to forget. We had to take a bite of a bar of soap, chew it up and spit.it out. No rinse allowed. It was a lesson that stayed with you for a while.
    And yes, I have had reason to pass that lesson on. ;) (rarely)
