I tried them, but had mixed ability to get any useful info. Then try quitting them! Nearly as bad as getting away from AOHell........
If you want to find your ancestors, You do NOT have to pay a Dime.... Just go ask any Mormon, where their local Genealogy Research Library is located, and go there and ask, for the help you need. There will be Good Folks there, to teach you how to do your own research, and they do NOT charge ANYTHING for the service.....
They Don't.... The headline is deceiving.... They provide the Basic Family Associations to the Police, and then the Police check those names against the DNA Registry, and then can compare Familial Markers, of your Family Members DNA, that are in the DNA Registry, and get a close reference to your DNA Markers.... The more Family Members DNA, in the DNA Registry, the better the Guess at what your DNA Markers will be..... @Ganado, for your Information, Baptism for the DEAD, by Mormons has NO EFFECT, on the Dead, if there is NO HEREAFTER..... OR, If those DEAD do NOT believe.... It has NO Effect on any Living Relative, if They do NOT believe. Mormons NEVER Baptize, by Proxy, any Living Soul, PERIOD... Your Information is DEAD WRONG....
Uhhh wow I'm speechless.... I had no idea anyone would take that remark seriously... The Dna comment was so over the top I just assumed others would get the sarcasm. My apologies BTPost
So....articles such as this one, are completely false and misleading? Mormons Baptize Notorious Killers
Mormons believe EVERY HUMAN deserves the oppurtunity to Repent, in this life, or the Next, PERIOD... Therefore Every Human, has the opportunity to ACCEPT, or REJECT, any Proxy Ordinace, that has been done for them, after they are DEAD. It is totally up to the Individual, and that CHOICE is THEIRS, and only THEIRS. It is as simple as that.....
My in-laws have submitted these DNA kits. They then do a DNA test on what you send them, and determine where you came from, by the genetic markers. My in-laws were a bit suprized at their roots. There were a few branches they were not aware of. Some family stories were born out, while a few were not. As for sharing the info, that is what they do. It is a database of gathered and shared knowledge (for a fee) and it is not a nonprofit. However, I would expect a guarantee of privacy, on any identifiable information, about you personally. (Unless you waved that protection, intentionally.)
