It seems to be the goal of the liberal agenda to homogenize America and in doing so, remove the individual from the equation. It seeks to replace regional culture and values with a national belief system that has nothing to do with being united under one Constitution. From one side of their mouth they are telling us our strength as a nation is based on its diversity but from the other side of their mouth they want any lingering references to that diversity to be removed.

We are being told that individual beliefs will lead to the downfall of a once great nation. We are being told that displays that venerate our individual or regional culture and values may be offensive to others, who, by the way, have the same right to displays venerating their culture and values.

Some people see the Gadsden Flag as a call to revolution while I see it as a reminder of the strength and resolve of those who fought and died for the birth of America. I think the Confederate Flag holds a similar meaning for those in the South – to honor those who were willing to fight and die for their beliefs.

To deny our history is to deprive ourselves of the richness of our experience and deprive future generations of an understanding that unless we are willing to lead, we will be led. The ultimate destination of those being led is often a guillotine or a gas chamber or imprisonment in mediocrity.

Always remembering Martin Niemoller's powerful words "First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

Unfortunately, I've heard rumors of that. I think the next one is to force churches to perform gay weddings even if against doctrine - non-compliance will mean loss of tax exempt status and the ability to be sued out of existence as have the bakeries.

The Supreme Court has been moving fast this week...

Yes 3M-TA3 , I also fear for the church . Now it is law Like I predicted in another thread. So now that it IS law those who refuse such as Churches and pastors, ministers etc to marry same sex couples can be held accountable, called bigots and sued for discrimination. Even to speak against Homosexuality now can be labeled a hate crime. The country is falling apart very quickly now. W e are on the verge of some very trying times. China has also dropped a bomb as she is going to put the Yuan on the Gold Standard. Say goodbye to the dollar and watch the rise of China as the new world power.

I can recall back when I was a young boy when a Syrian family (literally fresh off the boat so to speak) moved into our neighborhood They all spoke some English and worked hard to learn more. The father was a carpenter by trade and was soon employed and earning a good living. Their Mother made the acquaintance of my mother and I remember them having a conversation about the holidays we celebrated and why. They wanted to assimilate, to blend in and become American. Becoming American meant so much to them, by being American they were free, they were part of something much larger than themselves, something the relatives and friends they left behind did not have and could not experience.

OTOH, I really don't see any immigrant groups attempting to "homogenize" or blend into our society in the slightest manner at all. There is one town where I moved into here in New England which was one of many typical small cities. As the immigrants moved in the first thing I noticed (besides the rise in crimes) was when the shops started making announcements in Spanish (Sorry if I am starting to sound racist but I call it the way I see it.) Next it was bi-lingual ads in the local newspaper. Several street gangs formed and soon their graffiti "tagging" their turf went over several of the murals which had previously decorated several stores.

We had several issues with the gangs and the day after a high speed chase ended with a foot pursuit and capture in our back yard we put the house up for sale and like 70% of the other white folks in our neighborhood, we moved.

We went back to the old neighborhood about two years later to have the Mrs' engagement ring repaired at the jewelry store where I bought it and Main Street was like a third world country. Not one business sign was in English. Groups of youths loitered everywhere. The apartment building where I had lived as a bachelor had burned to the ground and the vacant lot now held abandoned cars, discarded mattresses and trash. I managed to park a few doors down from the store and when I opened the car door the first thing I saw was a used syringe lying in the gutter. The store we used to be able to just walk into now had a double door system and we had to be buzzed in. They closed and moved a couple years later.

The Mosques are starting to go up in two cities that I know of and as the Muslim population grows, they will become emboldened by their numbers and then times will get "interesting". When will the beheadings begin ?

The country where I grew up no longer exists, the city where I met my wife, that quaint Norman Rockwell-esk town where the scent of fresh cut pine from the sawmill on its border now has been replaced by the stench of rotting garbage.

Being American means little to present day immigrants. There is no need or even desire to learn English. We'll provide a translator who will tell them how to fill out the application for section 8 housing, apply for food stamps (Ok EBT nowadays) and don't forget the Obamaphone !

Our country has already been fractured and the collapse is near. There are still good folk who follow what their children learn in school (or homeschool) and teach good values. These will be the ones left standing when it all falls down.

UncleMorgan I like peeling bananas and (occasionally) people.

When some Soviet scientists came to America in the '50's for cultural & scientific exchange, they said they were astonished that in America, which had so many different people and kinds of places, every single person thought alike. Far more so than Stalin had ever been able to force the Russian peoples to in the implementation of Communism.

The difference was that our similarities were based upon our similar freedoms. Not upon our similar oppressions.

Now that Freedom in America is largely a thing of the past, along with the Rule of Law as opposed to the Exercise of Power, America is no longer a unified Nation.

It is a Nation led by tyrants and criminals and besieged by jackals. A Nation stratified instead of united, and a Nation with nothing better to admire than cheap bling and cheaper booty.

Is it too late for us? No. But it is probably too late for 90% of us. The 10% that survive the Fall of America will be the ones that build America anew.

Our Dream will not be allowed to die.

I come from a line of German immigrants. My GGrandfather moved his family to America in the mid 1800's. My Grandfather and his siblings were the first generation to be born Americans. He told me that even though both his parents spoke fluent German they refused to teach it to their children and his father forbade it's use in the home. My Gfather was named George Washington *******, and his brother was Thomas Jefferson *****. They were Americans, not German-Americans. I am the most bigoted person in the world, I hate African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Asian-Americans, in fact I hate ALL hyphenated "Americans". Come to this country and become an American or don't come here!!! I had the chance to be the first of our family to return to Germany a few years ago. I proudly told some of the people we met that I was German. They smiled and said "No your not, you're American." Yeah, they are right, I am an American.

It is a sad irony that two such large and lawless Supreme Court decisions were made public on June 25th and June 26th, the day of George Custer's 7th Cavalry last stand massacre in the valley of the Little Big Horn, and the day after, when the results of that slaughter were realized by the Major Reno's and Capt. Benteen's troops on a hilltop a few miles away. Over many years I have raised at least one glass of whiskey in a toast to the 7th Cav on June 25th. Now, the Supreme Court has tarnished even that footnote in military history with a "massacre" of a different kind.

There are books on political strategy, I encourage all to peruse as many as possible. I will try to locate some which are not copyrighted, too.

Lots to talk about on this subject. It's not pretty, either. All major parties are the same, and march to the same heartbeat: corporatism.

Buy it used here so no lefty a$$hat heir gets a royalty: Rules for Radicals by Saul D Alinsky - Powell's Books
Don't worry if it's out of stock (just one left right now), Powells is located in Portland, Oregon where there are likely more copies of it floating around than Bibles - more will always be available soon.

Crapping on Alinsky's grave is on my bucket list...doesn't mean I can't learn from him

Also a couple of counter books - anybody read these?:
Rules for Conservatives: A Response to Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky by Michael Charles Master - Powell's Books

Rules for Radical Conservatives: Beating the Left at Its Own Game to Take Back America by David Kahane - Powell's Books

Poor bastards, now they have to contend with acrimonious divorces, vengeful crazy ex's, child custody fights, property settlements and paying lawyers just like us straights. They deserve what they got.
