Just a little rain they said!

7 inches of rain in about 4 hours and then a neighbors pond overflowed to our place.

So quick but messy drainage repairs.

Emergency Berm as a secondary move.

The Kubota Tractor had never been worked in the Mud and I was pleased with the tires and other extras I selected.

Just more mud and work to do when things dry out.
Not a drop of water in the barn

We had a few hot days and now the rain is back up here as well. We put tarps down under the apricot tree so we weren't gathering up apricots from the mud. Have to go out a few times a day to get them out of the tarp pond now. The worst thing is the flies. OMG it's like there's a mouth to hell around here somewhere I don't know about and the king of flies is releasing his armies upon our back door. All this rain has them breeding like mad.

We had flies by the bushel then the heat picked up and the Dragon Flies came out and had dinner.

We are 22 inches above normal where I live in East Texas. I could bale hay in my garden. Too wet to even walk in it. Getting out of the creek bottom and up the hill next year.

Yes you can buy aluminum cookware. The illness rate of aluminum workers is the same as the rest of the population.

I don't know how much dumped on us last night and early this morning but I feel like I'm picking cranberries instead of apricots. The tarp under the tree is ankle deep in water. Looks like the storm knocked most of the fruit out of the tree tho so this will be the last of the apricots to put up.

One of the only sky hunters that can kill a bee in the air and consume them in flight. This is very amazing since the Bee can reverse it's body in flight and sting a human while still maintaining their original flight path. Never swat at a bee in flight they can reverse their body while maintaining the original direction and what you will hit is their stinger, yet the Dragon Fly manages to make a meal out of the Bee while we get stung.

Engineers say that the Dragon Fly's design makes it impossible for them to fly, then again Engineers have their own problems with flight.

    I can hear them now.
"Thirteen and a half percent full!"
"I never seen so much water!"
"Another twenty percent and they'll let them damn boats back on."
    "Never happen"

For a long time, they swore bees could not fly (BEE-cause they didn't understand it correctly) , and now it's dragonflies that can't fly?;) so two critters that can not fly, have unique abilities, and both attack while airbourne?
(Who says "God doesn't have a sense of humor?;))
