FEMA Situation Reports

    If you were interested in getting a situation report from FEMA and many other .gov agencies.... they have quick links to access these reports as an auto function that gets blasted to everyone on their email. IMO this might give insight to information in advance of media reports. You can unsubscribe just as easy if you do not like the BS received.

    Just a thought if any are interested.... information and knowledge are power, and any tid-bit acquired may be just enough to give you a head start on the rest of the sheep in times of emergency.

    I signed up with my county for certain alerts. They have my #'s in case of fire, floods and natural disasters. The rest I opted out of. I do not think I would sign up for FEMA alerts IMO local is more reliable.

    Just a tool that I found..... that some may be interested in. Obviously to some, if it is .gov related, they want no tie to it and that is cool.

    Some of us are so deeply embedded in the .gov data base due to working relationships..... what difference does it make ;)

    Yea... Some of us "are so Deeply embedded in the .GOV DataBase", that the only way to get some Security, was to move so far out, that the .GOV would need a REALLY Good Reason, to come Looking.....

    That is exactly the issue with Google, FB, the NSA monitoring ect..... every move you make is stored, everything is correlated into a file that describes your interest, what you are doing, who you know, who you follow....and so on. The right to privacy has been totally corrupted, and we never fought back. We allow them to do that when we check that little box that says we accept their terms of service....without reading the entire detail. The only way to prevent this information on line, is to be smart and use the technology available to protect your privacy.... or just log off and read the newspaper and gossip with the neighbor over the fence. ;)

    To me, it is simple. Sharing any information with any .Gov database, even any of their resource gathering tools (Farcebook, Twitter, etc.) will undoubtedly end up in the hands of the very "terrorists" the 'government' claims to be the enemy. Don't believe me? Too "crazy" to believe? -watch the video and skip forward to 31:50 if you are impatient. I suggest watching it all.

    I really didn't know where to put this post but decided here was as good as any. I live in SE Texas where Hurricane Harvey caused a lot of flooding. My home was spared any damage. However, a friends was not and had to be totally gutted. He, his wife and two teen sons have been living with us since the event, three months now. That is not a problem. He received $32k from FEMA to "rebuild". He also received a 1.5% consolidation loan from the SBA rolling in his existing mortgage and new money to complete his repairs. He's down to the wire, all that he needs to finish is painting, flooring and setting bathroom fixtures. Along comes FEMA and tells him they are going to provide him a new three bedroom trailer on his property to use as long as he needs. They roll in a new trailer, complete with new furniture and appliances. They hook it up and skirt it. They won't give him the keys until the corp of engineers inspects it. So, they are sill with me.

    Not here is the kicker. This week, they installed a fully self contained fire suppression system in the trailer. I mean, overhead sprinklers in every room along with a $20,000 fully self contained unit to supply it. Hard to believe?     I know of nowhere in the US where sprinkler system are required by city, county or state code in single family dwellings? Does anyone else? This is a $30,000 mobile home with a $20,000 sprinkler system, and there are 1,000's of them going in.

    If this is not government waste at it's worst, I do not know what is. Some company that manufactures these units and sells them to our sucker government must really be well connected.

    Keep in mind this guy is a couple weeks, if not days away from finishing his house. He will surely be in the trailer less than a month. $5,000 and a crew could have finished his house in a weekend.

    Did a bit of looking and it is apparent that many FEMA trailer recipients have died in those trailers. Sure, usually their fault but how do you tell that to a Mom?

    So now all trailers will come with freeze proof fire suppression system.

    I guess the problem is the government knows only one way to do something, and one size does not fit all. If you add $20,000 to the cost of each FEMA trailer we are talking $20,000,000 for 1,000 trailers. My guest said his FEMA rep was handling 5k cases like his. People die in house fires. That's just a fact. If the FEMA trailers are built to code they are wasting taxpayer money. Take the 20 million and save 10,000 people from starvation.
