Cold & flu tincture

So wifee tells one of our family friends that I have a cold. I don't have a cold. Just a little scratchy throat and some sneezing and runny nose. Anyway, this guy teaches about Hawaiian plants and uses. He tells the wifee that he had the flu and made this tincture. And within two hours, no more flu. So I am willing to try it after wifee tells me what is in it. Pretty much stuff I like.

Garlic, ginger, rosemary, oregano, lemon, Hawaiian chili peppers, and apple cider vinegar. Shaken for at least half and hour. So here's my first shot.

Strong and has a bite. But not bad.

Oh, the ice made it more like a cocktail and easier to take, I think.

Doesn't taste horrid. The initial taste is strong. But I generally like the things in it and their flavors. It is just all of them straight up at full strength together. The herbs and lemon and chili peppers made it taste better than drinking apple cider vinegar straight up. At least to me.

Hard to say, @Yard Dart. The cold is mild. And I have been taking Sun Chlorela and Kamut. But as of last night, no scratchy throat. No scratchy throat this morning. Still got a little runny nose. But eating the other half of monkey's big cupcake didn't help any.

And I only took one dose of that stuff. Jumping on a plane tomorrow and wanted to make sure it wasn't going to adversely affect me. No ill effects. Except for maybe some garlic farts last night.

Adding vodka would make that into an interesting dirty martini. It would be pretty good, I think.

You just HAD to do that, didn't you? Forcing me into another deviation. Which are you asking for -

    BBrrrrr-UMP
    or
would you like apple butter on it?

I'm a fisherman, you see, and that's why I'm deaf. I have sardine in one ear, and the other is
    hard of herring.

    Ba-dumpf!

    (OK--I promise to quit now.)

Took another shot today. Didn't have the initial surprise like the first time. Went down easy. I stand by my dirty martini comment. If I had vodka in the freezer and wasn't all out and about today for monkey's soccer then monkey's tennis...

Bet I could get my neighbor to drink it and like it. Maybe when I get back. Anybody live in Huntington Beach?

I would think with those ingredients that it would make you sweat therefore it would help you to sweat out the ailment. I like that it has ginger because that would help sooth the stomach because the tincture IMO would cause discomfort.

I see sneaky... you build the hot tub and then convince the young ladies to come up, then you put them to work building the cabin.... very sneaky....
