It may take a while to get to know some of the old timers, SS, but the post is in the right subforum. Case extant, survival for Seacowboys is music as supported by his other, ah, habits.
Musical instruments are part of the entertainment and stress relief preps. To me, good music is a very deep thing. It stirs emotions and is a great escape, even if only for the moment.
Gator, can you see any of the stampings on that wooden post that runs through the body from the neck?
@Sand Spider Barter has more to do with survival and prepping than any other single thing I can think of. I got maybe a 100 or so firearms but I gave my one and only banjo to a friend years ago, that needed something to do besides suck his revolver after loosing his family in a disaster. He's got a new home and a decent life life now and still calls once in a while and leaves a message that always ends with the banjo part from Poco's "Crazy Eyes", just to let me know that life is good. That little vignette has to do with survival too. I could just go to the Guitar Center an buy a banjo, but barter is more fun and expands your community base in real way, much more so than sitting on the couch counting bullets and scheming how to defeat the zombie hoards.
