    Welcome here! There are a few off grid communities looking for members, but then you have to deal with the folk in those communities. That's just me, lone wolf kinda person.

    I believe most here are like Dunerunner, somewhat loosely connected to other preppers or pretty much loners. Many here strive to depend on others as little as possible, with a goal of providing for most of their own essential needs (water, shelter, food, power, communications, etc..) while still recognizing that no one person can do it all.

    For instance, if you're in a SHTF situation and you get your water from a well on Joe B.'s land, what happens if Joe B. decides he's pissed off at you all of a sudden?
