Hi guys im new on here im wanting to maybe sell my springfield m6 scout rifle .22/410 good condition how much should i sell it for if i do? Its identical to the one here?
Welcome to the Monkey Tree... I moved your post here so Folks know you have something to Sell... You should Post a Price.... Once you get some feedback from our Weapons Experts....
Welcome to the Monkey @kubo0885 !! Everything I see out there is running in the mid $500 to mid $800 price range. Of course that depends on the condition of the rifle and the market you are trying to sell it to. Armslist and Gunbroker have a couple of equals for sale at this time.... several other places I looked did not have any.
The Springfield m6 scout is one of the best survival weapons out there. I have had one for the past 20 years and have had no problems what soever. 7 or 8 years ago I killed a fat doe with mine with a .410 slug. I use the peep sites on mine as my old eyes are getting old. I had a chance at one time to get one in .22 hornet/.410 and passed on it,I regret that I did not get it now. You will not have any problem getting rid of it. A very fine gun.
Assuming good condition, I would recommend asking $650 and going no lower than $400 if you want it to sell quickly. If you can take it out to a gun show, list it at $750, but still accept nothing lower than $400. If someone tries to lowball you cuz they think they can take advantage of a pretty gal...just give em a big ole smile and jack the price UP another 50 bucks.
With the market as I have seen it lately, I would also list around $700, but would take no less than $500 unless it was a friend.
You can ask whatever you want for it, they are so rare these days and plenty of folks want one. As was already mentioned, I wouldn't go below $400 or $500, in selling price though. The M6 Scout and the Marlin Papoose are two of the really exceptional survival rifles ever made. There's just not much else out there that can compare to the reliability, versatility, and performance. It's a shame they are not made any more.
Ma'am, it was information about that rifle, that led me to this site, several years ago. I wish I was in a better position to make an offer. You will have no issues selling it. Which version is it, out of curiosity? They were made as .22lr, a 22hornet, and I think one other variant.
