I went out and tested my solo stove I purchased a few days ago, it worked pretty good with boiling water, trying to cook steak over coals took a little longer and required adding wood to it a few times.

That's a nice place you got there! And even your stove wanted your steak.

Making me hungry. Been thinking about adding a stove along those lines to my kit.

That looks like a great little stove that burns widely available fuel. Nice rabbit trail on the Kershaw knife -- looking for something to replace my ancient Sog.

Nice. If you laid a couple wire tent stakes across that stove, it would form a grill for your steak.

its a nice stove, ive used it a couple times now. they sell a pot that is the size of the stove too so you can have all it stuffed into one little nylon sack.

yup, a friend mentioned the same thing just need a little grill and that stove would be perfect for cooking steak, no balancing the steak on the sides of the stove :p i think ill have to try that out

If you didn't want to carry skewers or grill (doesn't take up much room really), you could always skewer the steak before putting it on your stove. Green branches should work ok for the time it takes to cook.
