Considering the fact that "government" creates 99.999% of terror attacks through funding, training, and carrying out the acts...I would say if we eliminate government, there's nothing to worry about. Besides, it's more likely to die from a bee sting (for those who are allergic). Not an issue for me one bit.

Well, maybe the cattle cars hildabeast has planned for all of those against her ;)

But the thread is more about what you are doing to mitigate the threats listed above....

After Paris Attacks: ‘Concealed Carry Permit Holders Have a Duty to Be Armed’
LEBANON, Tennessee— The 12.8 million Americans with concealed carry permits have a new civic responsibility to counter any U.S. replay of the barbaric murders of more than 120 unarmed innocent civilians in Paris, France, according to Nashville talk radio host Ralph Bristol.

“Concealed carry permit holders have a duty to be armed,” Bristol says.

“It’s not going to do us any good if we’re not carrying that gun,” Bristol said on Saturday to a crowd of 500 gathered outside the parking lot of D.T. McCall and Sons furniture and appliance store in Lebanon, Tennessee on the fifth stop of the WWTN radio talk show host’s ‘The Second Amendment is Homeland Security’ tour.

“If you are like me, and you have that permit to carry that gun . . . we’ve got a duty to do something to make the right things happen,” Bristol began

“We didn’t ask for this fight [with Islamic terrorists],” Bristol added, “but we will be ready for this fight when everyone understands that, and why the Second Amendment is homeland security.”

Most of those you cannot do anything about other then stop living life and hide. Most of those I have considered and act accordingly. I am helpless against protecting a military base or a chem plant. I assume they have taken steps to keep them safe but as I said, I assume. @sec_monkey discouraged my idea on taking a cruise. I have spoke to others also regarding taking a cruise and they said I was more apt to get food poisoning then terror attack. Off subject.... there were a few ships a couple years ago that completely lost power and had to be towed back. This was the same year that the missile was sighted off the coast of CA, though officials said it was a contrail. In my opinion, those ships were hit with a small EMP or something.

I read Brad Thor's book years ago about terrorists blowing up a mall. It could happen. I take that into consideration anytime I go there. I prefer to patronize the outer stores where I can get to an exist quick. The stores that are only accessible by going into the mall I rarely go to and I only go to them on weekdays when the crowd or victim level is down.

I do not go to concerts or sporting events. The kids do but firm instructions are given before they leave. When my youngest went to his first concert the old son was telling his brother to stay on the edge of the crowd, do not get in the middle. It is all about keeping safe and being able to exit fast.

My thought is those security lines at the airports. They have you lined up and on busy travel times they have everyone corralled, 100's waiting to go through security. That is a prime target.

As far as targets go it's a "good" list and I'm surprised many of them haven't been hit. I would if I were a Terr. I don't believe they are as organized here YET. Perhaps they are and are waiting. One of their goals should be to instill fear in the sheep, that they are not safe in their homeland. We've had attacks, but not enough to rattle the majority. What better way than to hit many of these soft targets in backwater USA? Most water supplies have very little to no security. Sporting events/concerts would be easy with a little planning. Get some of your people hired on as the "yellow windbreakers" a few weeks or months beforehand. When I lived in Colorado, the Rocky Mountain News always had ads in there for temp security for events. What about grain silos? They are all over this country again with little to no security and are a huge bomb just waiting for a small booster charge to set it off. Easy target and if enough are hit, affects food supply/prices..

For us here, prior planning and avoidance in some cases is the key I think. I've been around the globe several times so I don't have the wonderlust like I used to, so travel is not a big thing to cut out of our plans. Sass wants to go to Scotland and Ireland (something to do with kilts I'd wager:rolleyes: but that can wait. While I'd love to go to Alabama football games, we have a big screen and the bathroom here has no lines and the beer is is a lot cheaper.

We prefer to drive when we go somewhere and will continue to do that unless it's an emergency family matter.
The list above is another great reason to grow/raise as much of your own food as possible, same for having your own water supply IMO. You WILL NOT catch either of us a mall. Not because we're scared, but simply because we hate the frigg'in crowds-Amazon is wonderful.
Not much we can do about a mil base or nuke plant getting hit other than having the protective gear and meters-we do.

The last train ride I took was several years ago and I was simply dumbfounded by the lack of security. I had control of my bags the entire trip. A person could literally have carried on a man portable nuke and no one would've been the wiser.

The list is incomplete.. They mention Cruise Ships (firearms are not permitted), Trains (firearms are not permitted), Amusement Parks (firearms are not permitted), Concerts (firearms are not permitted).

They did mention Water and the Internet but left out the US Food Supply, Electrical Grid, Fuel Supply Depots, and Air Navigation Systems.

Without the ability to move cargo, many will find food hard to come by. Couple that with a few incidents of food tampering and most folks will be gun shy about buying from the local market anyway. Take out the electrical grid to a large city and without electricity and refrigeration all of the water and food supplies are at risk.

Buy some property, 10 acres; that is defendable and can be farmed. Be self sufficient with respect to your energy requirements, have a safe private source of water and you will be better off.

If you want to take a Cruise... Cruise on up here... (Alaska) No self-Respecting RagHead would think of trying to take over one of those CattleCars on it's way to Alaska.... Way to cold, for them, up here....

Although, I would watch out for those two Canadian West Coast Pirate Monkeys, who are well known here, on the Monkey.... I have serious doubts about their Stability.....[lolol]

Don't rush out and take any packages that you aren't expecting to be delivered, especially if they are sitting on your porch when you get home from work. During the Holidays delivery operations frequently contract out services. It would be child's play to pose as a contracted service and deliver explosives instead of gifts from Uncle Harry.

    I'm with @Brokor
I'm more likely going to have to deal with a tornado or lightening than a terrorist.

I'm more worried about the daily commute to the office and the idiot texting drivers than a terrorist that steals a tanker truck of gasoline.

Well first you got to ask, WHY are they trying to scare you? Remember Swine flu? Bird flu? West Nile virus? Killer bees? Sure if you were in the wrong spot at the wrong time they could get serious, but for 99.999% of the rest of the world? Zero problems. I am in a lot more danger from idiots behind the wheel eating, putting on makeup, texting, selfy-ing, drunk, etc than I am any thing from the list. Is there ANYTHING I can do about what is on the list? No? Then I'm not spending time on it.

Had a tornado come through my back yard, skipped over the house and took down the HUGE box elder tree next to the house while I sat on the porch and watched. Why wasn't I in the basement? I didn't want to be there if the house collapsed. If God wants me, he knows where I am, in the bomb shelter or on the porch, it won't matter. As one loser kept asking me, "what about an asteroid strike? Huh? Huh? Huh? What are you going to do about that?" Nothing I can do about it, so I'm not worried. "What about an earthquake? Huh? Huh? Huh? What are you going to do about that?" Well what do you want me to say? I'm not in an earthquake prone area, and there is nothing I can do if it hits, so I'm not worried. "What about..." Well what if I punch you in the mouth? Now THAT seems to be ready to happen in about 30 seconds if you keep pissing me off. What are YOU going to do about that? Huh? Huh? Huh? I'm not sure why he didn't want to talk to me any more, I still wanted to punch him in the mouth.

They haven't been hit for the same reason Normandy wasn't hit until "we" were ready. Just wait until 0bama brings 100K of Syrian "refugees" here.
We live in a nation with open borders and if that isn't scary, what is??

Backwater USA lacks the shock effect of a San Bernardino or a Ft Hood. Terror needs a big impact or a lot of blood shed to be effective.

Water supplies are highly diluted and chlorinated before they reach the tap. Plus, it has been decades since I've been on city water.

This is a good point and considering Amazon is trying to get 'drone delivery' of packages approved. It might be a good idea to rent a mailbox that takes deliveries.

Being an evil genius, I can see that the bad guys haven't figured it out yet. They think attacking big cities affects most of the country and they don't know how wrong they are. I think most of the monkeys here could raise more hell alone than these groups do if they decided to do it.

It is their Design, to cause as much "Publicity" for their "Cause" as they can and NOTHING gets them on the Front Page Faster than a Good Old Mass Killing.... I blame the MSM for most of what is classed as News, in todays world... If they wouldn't Print, Televise, or Publicize, these Yahoos, there would be a lot LESS of the Folowers, duplicating the same BS....

Yup, blowing up a grain elevator won't get a lot of media play, but shooting up an auditorium sure does. Bigger bang for the buck, as in "any publicity is good publicity."

Well actually the terrorists are not going to hit any place in fly over country no matter how choice. Why? NO "NEWS" (I use the term extremely loosely here) COVERAGE! If it is not Kommiefornia, and/or some big cities on the left coast, the NE, Florida, possibly Chicago, how often do you hear about it? The "national" so called evening what happened in the world today shows are all "snow closed the NJ turn pike!", "a van rolled over in NYC, no idea if anyone was hurt or who it was", "a little girls last wish was to dig a well for a bunch of lazy scum who refuse to do so themselves". Yes, those are ACTUAL "news" stories carried on all THREE networks for THREE days in a row! I'm sorry, it what way are those NATIONAL stories and why were they on all THREE networks for THREE nights running?! If the town I live in was wiped out, by zombies, nuke, disease, etc. it might be local/state news, but it wouldn't make it on to the national networks. Same with any other place in flu over country. Hit NY, CT, CA, and/or a network or reporter and see what happens! El hint: the reporters at the NY TIMES and ALL Kommiefornia TV/radio/papers and all three networks ALL hate moslems and want them killed! Do your duty and see Allah personally after "visiting" these scum!

Yeah, that would be a mess and affect a LOT of people. BUT that isn't serving their thirst for killing infidels in as short a time and with as much violence as possible. (It's what I would do to them, if they had sewer treatment plants.)
