Let's be frank...(or jane if you prefer)...most Americans wouldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag if their life depended on it. Those of us who will are in the minority and on our own...so the question is, who is willing to give up their nice, comfy life to begin living the life of a hunted "terrorist" in order to "fight back"?

I think we may all be waiting for a tipping point event that may never come.

I agree with this. The line in the sand keeps moving. The slow chipping away at beliefs and rights has us somewhere that makes me feel it will be a slow bleed. Drain the strength and will to fight.

    Me too.
Every day I pray, "what can I do?".
Every day the answer is the same "lead".
Every day I find some excuse not to.

I don't see the line in the sand at all. Few, if any under the age of thirty five feel they have lost anything. They grew up with the limitations on their freedom and accept it as the norm. This is the prison created by slow incrementalism, or the point of the story about how to catch wild pigs.

Well the people in East Berlin finally revolted and tore down the wall. The Russians revolted (after 90 years of communist rule) finally ("SIRE! The peasants are revolting!" "Yes, they are aren't they?" Or my favorite line from HISTORY OF THE WORLD "PULL!") so don't give up (all) hope that some day the sheeple will grow a spine and stand up. Of course look at the Republican raft a losers, remember how some of them went to the Bundy ranch in NV and when Bundy said "The negro in the White House..." they all ran like cockroaches when you turn a light on? I don't expect them to grow a set (in the White House or anywhere else) either, but then they are politicians anyway, not a group known to have a set anyway! The Revolution to free us from England was fought by 1/3 of colonists, 1/3 joined Brittan and 1/3 sat it out. One thing I DO know, is one day this house of cards WILL collapse, either from the inside or the outside. Remember it only took 150 Spaniards to topple the most powerful country in South America that everyone there all thought was invincible.

    Are we frogs?

    .......................

They say that if you put a frog into a pot of boiling water,
it will leap out right away to escape the danger.

But, if you put a frog in a kettle that is filled with water that is cool and pleasant,
and then you gradually heat the kettle until it starts boiling,
the frog will not become aware of the threat until it is too late.
The frog's survival instincts are geared towards detecting sudden changes.

Frogs only thinks about 3 thing's
    Eating
    Breeding
    Staying warm
As you get older you find that you only care about 2 of these
    Choose wisely

I keep waiting for a Leader. John Conner, Andrew Jackson, George Washington. But yea, John Conner . You know taught us to fight, to smash those metal mother forkers into junk . He brought us back from the brink. You know??????? Your unborn son Sarah .

Okay all kidding aside. Every rebellion needs a leader. Someone who takes charge and organizes. The last civil war started with shots fired on Fort Sumpter. There are several states RIGHT NOW that have done everything short of seceding . They have filed the 10th amendment, filed petitions and passed laws that oppose federal officers. Oklahoma is one such state. Texas is another. If any one of these states were to actually leave the union the war would be here like it or not. States would take sides and elect officials to run things. The south elected a president and a congress and all while Washington sat and watched. The real question however is this. What would we be fighting over? The converting into socialism? Globalism? or the scrapping of the Constitution.

What am I fighting for? I am fighting for the same things that those who fought for our independence from the British were fighting for. I am fighting for the same thing that those who fought for the Confederacy were fighting for. I am fighting for my freedom to live my life as I choose, exercising my unalienable rights as a human with minimal interference or regulation from government, as long as doing so does not infringe upon the unalienable rights of others (which is the dichotomy that both caused the Civil War and doomed the Confederacy) . I am fighting my right to be treated as a free man...assumed to be sane, responsible and law-abiding until my ACTIONS prove me to be otherwise, rather than being treated as a potential criminal, nut case or terrorist until certified otherwise by government.

The only difference between what I am fighting for and what those who came before me were fighting for in both our Revolution and the Civil War is a lack of clear-cut physical borders separating us from our oppressors. If this fight moves from a battle of ideas to a full-blown armed conflict....it will make the previous two look like picnics in the park.

I would fight for those same principles HOWEVER this is a problem as every state has men who believe such as we do. How can a state separate its people into battle lines in such a war?? This is the problem with today's grievances as they are in every state as in every state is divided. So the only recourse is to conquer the country and defeat those who do not believe as we do. Drive the socialists and communists from our shores? This is what we face. And who will lead this?

I figure it's us or nobody. We are all responsible for leading our own little corners of the country until such time as we either relinquish or are relieved of command. If we wait for someone to lead us, we'll probably die waiting.

Where do we draw the line in the sand? Do we wait until the ATF is at the door to confiscate our “assault rifles” or until we are told to bring them to the county sheriff’s office or face a felony charge? Do we wait until the only option is spilling blood on both sides? The Obama administration has let it be known it will issue some Executive Order on gun control early next years. Does it not make more sense to do battle now so that the order does not stand and show our resolve now. I believe it makes sense to start now and not wait until the wolf is already at the door.
