Politics is an ugly business.... we should ban them from public service beyond one term..... Now that would be a constitutional amendment I would endorse......... The muzzies and the libs are in bed together.... that's going to create one ugly child!!!!

You do realize that particular resolution does not create any laws don't you? I believe it is a violation in spirit of the First Amendment by singling out one religion as more worthy of protection than others...and reinforces the whole concept of Hate Crimes which makes thoughts illegal, but it doesn't actually create any law.

You are very correct Pax, but when has the Constitution withheld the lib's from their agenda??!!!!!!.......

Ya know, I've come back to this thread a couple times trying to say something in a way that won't get me in trouble here and yet expresses my feelings on the matter and the best I can come up with is,

[do-it] that, and[do-it] this bill and [do-it] those that sponsor this[do-it] piece of [do-it] poo! (I looked for a pile of poo but we don't have that emoicon or whatever these [do-it] things are called)

We are moving into an area that could be real dangerous. We have ISIS, a group that is related to and is threatening to wipe us off the map. We had an incident this week over someone leaving bacon at a Mosque and the FBI is investigating. If this passed and someone voiced their dislike of ISIS or Al Qaeda, would it fall under hateful rhetoric?

More hate mongering. I did some research and this bill is about environmental quality et and has been in house subcommittees since 2007
    Amendments - H.R.569 - 110th Congress (2007-2008): Water Quality Investment Act of 2007

A little homework goes along way. Sorry @pearlsby but those sites annoy me, they stir people up and half of what they post isnt true. He used a bill number and even when I read all the amendments, what that guy wrote just isnt true. So either he misquoted the bill number or he is deliberately stiring people up. Some days I hate the internet because every whack job with an agenda can post whatever misinformation they like.

And it is the libs who are the useful idiots in this case. They're not bright enough to realize that if Sharia law ever gets a significant foothold in this country, libs are going to be among the first who are told to convert or lose their heads, literally. Muslims do not approve of the liberal lifestyle, but are willing to use liberals as a stepping stone to achieve their goals.

The libs have always, at least in my lifetime...which is "always" for me (and most folks these days)...been useful idiots for whomever is out to take down the USA. Unfortunately, they have managed to move the lines enough over the past 50-60 years that even most so-called conservatives of today would have been considered "liberals" in my youth.

I really don't think there is a political answer any more. We have already failed in the task of "keeping our republic"...the only question is what will come next. I have really given up on making any real, long term, change in the direction we are headed and am now just looking for ways to make a few people aware of what they have lost.

    @PaxMentis
Actually, the term "liberal" is something of a misnomer in this case. True liberals will listen to all sides of an argument, and form an opinion based on a combination of the facts and their own beliefs.
Today's so called "liberals" shut out any opposing views that do not conform to an anti-American stance.
I prefer to simply call them "America haters" because that's what they are.
Too bad they're too stupid to figure out just how good this country is to them and how good they've got it here.

Absolutely outrageous that there are ANY anti-blasphemy laws on the statute books of any US jurisdiction. When are Massachusetts, Michigan, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Wyoming going to repeal their anti-blasphemy laws, which, as it happens, tend to favour Christian believers and Christian beliefs, rather than Muslim ones???

God forbid that Muslims use existing Christian blasphemy laws to persecute poor atheists and other infidels in the way that Christians have in the past. Muslims don't need Sharia law, when perfectly good anti-blasphemy laws are still on the statute books of at least some god fearin' States.

Ganado has the right of it....

I am of the view that the "Thinking" American, has not exercised much thought on the matter other than to confirm the fears and prejudices of that site's reading constituency.

The " Headline" is very misleading... Just because a few YAHOO CongressCritters put some "Chicken Scratching on a piece of Paper, and introduce it as Bill, even a completely, and patently Unconstitutional Bill, does NOT equate that "The Congress" moves on ANYTHING... It is just a Bill, and hasn't even come to a Committee, and likely will Never even come up to it's First Vote... Or even be assigned to a Committee... Non-Starter from the Get-Go....
