Found this page about arguing and language to avoid with good replacement words when arguing about gun rights (notice I didn't say control) :)

It's not bad, especially check out the bottom section called "COGNITIVE DISSONANCE". It gives some really good questions to ask the idiots.

!. Have them sign a gun-free home statement and publish it in the local papers.
    2. Give away free "I call 911" stickers
    3. Put signs up in the yard saying "This house is protected by a telephone"
If you take 100 shootings and eleminate the gang-on-gang, most of the ones that happened during the comission of a crime were unarmed people getting shot...very few people that carry a gun for defense get shot during a robbery or rape, funny how it works that way; it seems like 90% or more of "victims" were unarmed and unable to defend themselves.

I don't think most burglars can read anyway.... however they do recognize the word free ;)

Then too, in a bad neighborhood one of the most sure ways to keep something from disapearing is to put a sign on it that says 'free'. Stuff can sit on the curb like that for weeks and no one will touch them, but chain it to a tree or something with 'No Trespassing' signs up and someone will be sure to come along with bolt cutters and a hacksaw. So a big sign in the yard saying 'free stuff' just might work well. lol

The one on the left would most likely be safest if you were on the other side with a shotgun...nothing like the element of surprise. I supose if they had a couple of Rodesian Ridgebacks behind that door it could work too. lol
