I shoot a sling shot once in a while and I hunt with one some. I always have on in my pack or in the pickup, but it looks like I am no where near your level.
When getting into position for a deer gun huntING drive, the gun will be on my back and a slingshot in hand. If a rabbit or squirrel pops up, a gunshot would screw the hunt for the rest of the hunters. A slingshot will not spook deer or alert into my presence.
I always take my slingshot to the stand or blind and take squirrels or dove with them I have had to put down a sling shot to pick up a bow to take a deer before.
For some reason my text was not inserted into the post.... Nice job @Bishop! I've been wanting to make my own for some time but never seem to be able to get around to it. I've shot them since my grandfather first introduced me to them many, many years ago. I believe I've read somewhere that the flat banding delivers more energy than the round tubing?? I need to look in to this more...
Yes flat band's don't stack like tubes but 1842 and 1745 are small but with a dubble band shoot hard and fast.
I have used a wrist rocket with limited success... much better with firearms... I've used a sling-staff against targets but not hunting...
