Any one use hammocks I use one while camping I also hunted out of it I made mine out of camo parachute material when hunting out of it I set it up to where nothing can come in on my right letting me shoot off of my left here a deer I took hunting out of one with my ar15 when camping I put Mylar in it and it keeps me good and warm.
I always have a hammock in my ruck/pack. I learned quickly while in HI, that there are buggers that have a mighty sting..... crawling around on that ground..... a millipede is no fun at o'dark thirty, let alone a boar walking through your AO.
There have been quite a few mentions of hammocks thru the years, and "search" turned up a whole list of places where they are discussed.
Yes, i also carry a hammock in my pack while hunting. I will sometimes use it as a hanging chair while sniping squirrel, or deer. I have a matching one in my work truck, for emergencies, mechanical malfunction, or lunch break.
Hammocks keep you off the ground which can be highly important. A hammock helps keep down illness and diseases. For humor: The Army's 1960s issue Jungle Hammock had a waterproof bottom. Yep, they filled up in the rain.
