Is there a new form of child abuse?

This seems a good article on the subject I place it here for discussion.....






George Orwell famously wrote, “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

For those tethered to biological reality, the self-evident truth that, prior to birth, people develop either “XY” or “XX” genetic markers and, as such, are objectively, and shall forever remain, either male or female, is as plain as blue is blue or pink is pink.

Indeed, notwithstanding the politically driven “LGBT” agenda that pretends otherwise, those who suffer with “gender dysphoria” disorder will stay, as born, either male or female, whether or not they play dress up, sterilize themselves and destroy healthy reproductive organs.

Hence, it’s of little surprise that, tragically, of those who put themselves through this imaginary “transition,” 41 percent will subsequently attempt suicide.

Still, this “progressive” socio-political scheme moves quickly from merely pitiable and delusional to ghastly and abusive when children are the targets – when selfish adults exploit sexually confused young people by feeding their “gender” delusion and pumping them full of dangerous hormones, or otherwise surgically mutilating and sterilizing them for life via so-called “gender reassignment surgery.”

In order to address the growing momentum of this harmful, gender-bending, pseudo-scientific quackery, a number of America’s leading medical experts on the subject have finally weighed in. “The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) urges educators and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex. Facts – not ideology – determine reality,” they warn.

This child-health advocacy group has released a report that determines, among other things:

1. Human sexuality is an objective biological binary trait: “XY” and “XX” are genetic markers of health – not genetic markers of a disorder.

“The norm for human design is to be conceived either male or female. Human sexuality is binary by design with the obvious purpose being the reproduction and flourishing of our species,” they observe. “This principle is self-evident. The exceedingly rare disorders of sexual differentiation (DSDs), including but not limited to testicular feminization and congenital adrenal hyperplasia, are all medically identifiable deviations from the sexual binary norm, and are rightly recognized as disorders of human design. Individuals with DSDs do not constitute a third sex.”

2. No one is born with a gender. Everyone is born with a biological sex. Gender (an awareness and sense of oneself as male or female) is a sociological and psychological concept; not an objective biological one.

Let’s take it a step further. The “gender” phenomenon is, in the larger sense, an artificial and anti-theist-tainted social construct. It’s an overt act of fist-shaking rebellion against the laws of nature and nature’s God.

And it’s dangerous.

Johns Hopkins Hospital was the pioneer in “gender reassignment surgery.” It now refuses to perform these discredited cosmetic procedures. Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the hospital’s former psychiatrist-in-chief and current distinguished service professor of psychiatry, is among those who participated in the ACPeds report. He has noted in the past that, as even the left-leaning APA reluctantly acknowledges, transgenderism is a “mental disorder” and that the idea of a “sex change” is “biologically impossible.” “People who identify as ‘feeling like the opposite sex’ or ‘somewhere in between’ do not comprise a third sex. They remain biological men or biological women,” determines ACPeds.

3. A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking.

“When an otherwise healthy biological boy believes he is a girl, or an otherwise healthy biological girl believes she is a boy, an objective psychological problem exists that lies in the mind not the body, and it should be treated as such,” notes the report. “These children suffer from gender dysphoria. Gender dysphoria (GD), formerly listed as Gender Identity Disorder (GID), is a recognized mental disorder in the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association (DSM-V). The psychodynamic and social learning theories of GD/GID have never been disproved.”

4. Puberty is not a disease, and puberty-blocking hormones can be dangerous.

“Reversible or not, puberty-blocking hormones induce a state of disease – the absence of puberty – and inhibit growth and fertility in a previously biologically healthy child,” notes ACPeds.

5. According to the DSM-V, as many as 98 percent of gender confused boys and 88 percent of gender confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty.

And so what do we call a physician or a parent who takes a gender-confused boy, with a 98 percent chance of full recovery, and severely and irrevocably harms that child with dangerous hormones or sterilization surgery?

We should be calling them what they are: criminals.

To its credit, the ACPeds report goes on to identify this so-called “gender ideology” for exactly what it is: “Child abuse.”

6. Children who use puberty blockers to impersonate the opposite sex will require cross-sex hormones in late adolescence. Cross-sex hormones are associated with dangerous health risks including but not limited to high blood pressure, blood clots, stroke and cancer.

So much for the Hippocratic Oath: “Practice two things in your dealings with disease: either help or do not harm the patient.”

Gender ideology is anathema to good medicine and sound science.

7. Rates of suicide are 20 times greater among adults who use cross-sex hormones and undergo sex reassignment surgery, even in Sweden which is among the most LGBQT–affirming countries.

“What compassionate and reasonable person would condemn young children to this fate knowing that after puberty as many as 88 percent of girls and 98 percent of boys will eventually accept reality and achieve a state of mental and physical health?” the report asks.

8. Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse.

“Endorsing gender discordance as normal via public education and legal policies will confuse children and parents, leading more children to present to ‘gender clinics’ where they will be given puberty-blocking drugs. This, in turn, virtually ensures that they will ‘choose’ a lifetime of carcinogenic and otherwise toxic cross-sex hormones, and likely consider unnecessary surgical mutilation of their healthy body parts as young adults.”

There you have it. “Gender ideology” is child abuse – empirically and irrefutably. Isn’t it high time, at least where minors are concerned and as a matter of public policy, that we begin treating it as such?

If such abuse were associated with anything other than the “LGBQT” political special interests, we already would have.


Matt Barber - ‘Transgender’ Conditioning is ‘Child Abuse’

 

When I read an ad, I always take into account that the data provided may be a little biased. I have the same problem with the LGBQT group, just because they believe it is so, it may be they are using biased data or a biased view of that data. I am willing to let them live as they wish, but I have problems when they wish to make my view and actions conform to their views. Problem is not limited to LGBQT, even worse with racial groups, religions, political groups, etc. While I believe God will sort it all out in the long run, the here and now can be quite unpleasant.

Matt Barber's article is "interesting" as an example of a salvo fired from the socially conservative side of the culture wars battle lines, principally aimed at non conformity to the Judeo-Christian ideals of hetero normative sex/gender identity/roles.

I would be more interested in your view on the subject, than in the article itself....The article makes no pretence of being balanced, and much of its content is misleading. Whether the misleading elements of the article are mischievously deliberate, or just negligent, is up to readers to ascertain.

I think that Matt Barber has pretty much abused the term "Child Abuse", in his article.....For all Matt Barber's heartfelt concerns for children, I do have to wonder what Mr Barber's thoughts are on the present day practice of Judaic male circumcision performed in a metzitzah b'peh as performed by Mohels in the USA.

This is a highly charged issue, and everyone probably has strong personal convictions which are not likely to be swayed by a mere Internet message.

That being said, here's my 2 cents' worth:

Male circumcision is an unnecessary procedure that both hurts and harms a male child. It is a barbaric and utterly unjustifiable mutilation without playing the Religion Card: "God said so, so there! (Nyah!)".

It used to be that there was a Medical Card that could also be played: "The Doctor said so, so there! (Nyah!)". That is, happily, now obsolete. Genital surgery is no longer looked upon as a good substitute for simple hygiene.

Sigmund Freud, BTW, is the guy that "cured" a 14 year old girl who was brought to him for "hypersexuality" by the simple expedient of surgically removing her clitoris. Fortunately, female genital mutilation is no longer looked upon as a good substitute for simple puberty.

Biological sex is as fixed and unalterable as gravity--at the moment. A person's gender is whatever they decide it is. As long as their choice of gender does not result in the commission of a crime, it's nobody's business but their own.

In forty years or so, the whole issue of gender may be moot. By then a person will probably be able to change their biological sex at the cellular level. End of conflict.

In the meantime, a person show keep a close watch on both the medical profession and the government, lest they lose something important.

I agree. The English language has been "revolving" more rapidly of late. That's the combination of natural linguistic evolution, and the de-evolution resulting from PC speech and the imposition of speech crime by the leftists.

 

Well what is strange to me is anyone considering death over life. Anyone mutilating themselves through cutting, whether at their hands or by paying others to cut them. I do not include those born with both sets of junk, or those with hideously disfiguring defects from birth, accident, or fire. That would be corrective surgery and acceptable. Those who conceal their sexual identity because they are ashamed of who they are, or to deceive members of the opposite sex for sexual gratification of themselves or members of their own biological gender are mentally bent in my non medical humble opinion. I do not care what they do unless it effects me or mine.

Thus the whole PC shit house door ID should be "Bio Male", "Bio Female", and "Gender Neutral". If we are going to be PC and choose to not offend anyone, all 3 bathroom designations should be available in all federal buildings, and or availability posted at entrances to all public access buildings.

To have all bathrooms open to any mentally bent individual who decides to identify as an alternate Bio Sex (gender neutral) is unacceptable to me. Specially due to the fact it denies a safe place for Bio Sex Children to go without fear of exposure to Gender Neutral Individuals who may also be only a child pervert looking to get a thrill or to expose themselves to said child. If you cannot agree to that, then you are unacceptably bent mentally to me. jmho

 

IMO, everything on the left agenda is a form child abuse. Remember the promises in "The Life of Julia"? The reality is food shortages and oppression ala Venezuela. A useless education and a listless economy gives Julia few options - pump out kids to get more aid (that eventually can't be provided) or go into the sex industry where she has a lot of fun as an aging stripper forced into prostitution.

Julia grows up thinking that gender reassignment surgery is a human right (given to her by the State) as opposed to the rights outlined in the Bill of Rights as inalienable rights granted by a higher source than humanity. Thus Julia is conditioned to accept the State as her God, which is core to the foundations of the left.

 

does this include boob jobs and facelifts? Plastic surgery is also invasive and IMO ridiculous and yet our society accepts it. Plastic surgery for cosmetic purposes .... is it any better than gender changing?

Having said that. I don't think this topic belongs on a survival site. The hormones that it takes to maintain the opposite gender will be gone in a SHFT scenario so the discussion is pointless. JMO

This is a very predictable direction that stems from the taking of a sexual deviation and and allowing PC to make it main-stream. Put the queers back in the closet, where they belong. It is nobody's business that they choose an alternate life-style but biological imperative mandates that it is a deviation and not a normal approach to maintaining the species. In times past, societies were destroyed by fire and folks turned into salt, that might be a little harsh for what goes on behind closed doors but when you parade them, redefine the definition of marriage, and let the deviants have a loud voice in the liberal media and judicial process, then this is what we get. It will not get better, no matter how many sit-comms and dramas soar in TV ratings. or how many "celebrities" decide to wack their weiners and sit down to pee.

 

To be fair, there have been gender neutral bathrooms in public places for a decade. I have never seen one that is multiple occupancy. They have always been single occupancy with lockable doors. I do not foresee a time when gender neutral means multiple occupancy open door restrooms.

This guy isn't going to be sharing a restroom with 'other 6 yr old girls'.

 

Any time a celebrity thinks thier political opinion matters to me, they have made a mistake, and have proven themselves to be politically enept.
As for sex change....there have always been mollies, fags, gays, lesbos, and a dozen or more other titles, used throughout the ages. They have always been known as confused or twisted. Thier gender is based in thier DNA and not thier predilections. The only ones who really had reason to feel they were a third sex or gender were hermaphrodites. (Those with both genders, which does NOT mean Bisexual, but has both sets of parts, naturally. )
They, at least had reason to doubt what they felt was thier true nature.

The Left also put a stop to husbands' 'rights' to beat and rape their wives, raising their sons to do likewise - but it took them until the 1970's to get that done! A 'useless education?' Not fixing to try and kick girls out of school, are you?

As to 'Julia,' the Left would have given her more options than 'pumping out kids.' (is that the way your parents taught you to express yourself?) Apparently you believe she produced them by immaculate conception all by herself too. You also assume 'she' was willing - in the USA alone, there is a rape every minute, and that's just the ones we know about officially. By making birth control and abortion services unavailable to low-income women - for those who don't get it, because both carry a high price tag and the Right never stops trying to put Planned Parenthood with all its discounted services to poor women, out of business - we are encouraging more children being born into single parent households that have no practical way to support them. The Right wants to force women to produce these children but balks at feeding and housing them, while they are mysteriously silent on calling the fathers to account because they don't want to be themselves inconvenienced by losing their prerogative to father children and abandon them, after all a time-honored pastime of men everywhere throughout history.

The Left is wrong about a lot of things but when it comes to legal rights and recourse for women and children, they've got it all over the Right and the Right will keep losing elections until it starts picking representatives that belong in the 21st century and not the 18th. The Right talks about 'accountability' but its adherents don't really believe in it when it comes to any of their own. 'Gender reassignment' is a ridiculous waste of money and time, but the best argument against the State encouraging it, let alone paying for it, has never been articulated by the Right: protection of girls and women from assaults by boys and men who will use gender-identifying as a legal defense. Sexual orientation makes no difference when it comes to testosterone poisoning and its most common outlet: violence, but until we have a number of crimes on record to prove it, the masses are simply too naïve to acknowledge it. It'll be once again, the Left that finally recognizes the danger in letting allegedly 'confused' males legally invade every private space belonging to females. The Right will continue to blame the Left for the whole mess, but will never do anything about it, at least as long as most of the crime victims are female. In the meantime, girls and women are, as too often the case, on their own and most of them have learnt by now that men aren't going to protect them from anything so they'd better start protecting themselves however they have to do. If survivalists can be said to have any sense of social responsibility, we could be doing our part to teach them.

 

Ad homonym attacks and straw men scenarios are pretty meaningless as rational arguments. Show me your socialist paradise where people have the freedom to live how they want without some "intellectual" bureaucrat to make their decisions for them. Maybe one where they can get the products they want would be pretty nifty, too. Oh, and make sure they aren't being kept afloat by US aid and doing it on their own.

 

@saltbush , I've read dozens of this type of articles. Recent new articles as well. This behavior and outcome is not uncommon, so I would say the phrase "pumping out kids" would be very accurate. In addition, the grandparents in most cases , have been receiving funding for being Foster parents. This is enough of a racket, that in a recent story, the young mother involved spoke of herself being the family breadwinner with her baby maker. The kid stayed in the same house, with the same caregiver, only the title changed from babysitter to foster parent, and the funds start rolling in for each and every kid. This behavior falls square in the center of the preference of placing kids with family members.

As for love and leave 'em men, there have been legal and social issues from this behavior too, for centuries. A girl who was "ankled" (pregnant ) would make a "belly plea" for support from her swain, and it was pay up, marry her, or be a social outcast.
Love 'em and leave 'em was fine, but a Bastard was an obligation. Weather or not he married her.
There were two parts to the marriage itself. "DE Presenta" (sp) meaning they had publicly spoken before witnesses of intent to marry, this could also be in the form of the "Bands" being posted at the local church. This ALONE was enough legal grounds that the child was NOT a bastard, but the product of a legal marriage.
The second half required the use of certified Clergy, (and I can not remember the legal term at this moment, this is all from memory) this legal requirement was to prevent a young couple hopping out of bed, declaring they were married before witnesses, and granting the husband life long Coveture of all of the girls estate brought to marriage. (Fleet Street wedding Chapels did a fast business before this legal change.
(And ALL of this is ancient history from before this WAS a country.
Changes did not start with the 1970's or the left of this country. Those are just a few late comers to the party.
And "love 'em and leave 'em" has not been solely men either. From the queen of the Nile to the American Indian Cherokees (where the women could do as they willed sexually, without repercussions) and throughout history, there have also been women who chose to do likewise. I don't think any society has ever been free of them. Granted, men being stronger in general, are more likely to use force, but a woman is more likely to use poison, or a knife while you sleep. She is also more likely to use sex to get what she wants, then a man. (I know this from experience).
So perhaps a slightly smaller brush could be used, when tarring half the species.?
