Okay guys, you saw my failure while learning the bow drill...here is me building it from scratch on my own for the first time and succeeding -Phorisc Live The Adventure
Love those opening shots on that water. What kind of camera/set up you using? Mine never seem to turn out. You like the thin carving edge on your ax, or is it just a preference because of the wood types in your AO?
I am using a nice dslr to get the reall nice picture. Sony A7s ii That condor axe is okay...I have a fuss with the handle cause the head is already loose on it(and the grain isnt correct)...kinda expected since its a cheap condor axe, but its actually meant for wood work so it has a thinner. Ill probably buy a new handle for it and put it on it...but its decent.
Seems like it is hard to get an ax that is ready to go right off the shelf. Should be criminal for the prices.
The axes i've found that are solid are usually expensive...Gransfors Bruks, Velvicut - Council Axe...But i'm sure you knew this already
