Cocksuckers will do anything for votes

Gov. Terry McAuliffe today signed an order restoring the voting rights of 206,000 ex-felons, a sweeping action the governor said was aimed at rectifying Virginia's "long and sad history" of suppressing African-American voting power.

Coming in a presidential election year, a swift backlash ensued as Republicans accused McAuliffe of abusing his executive power to help longtime ally Hillary Clinton win a battleground state by putting more likely Democratic voters on the books.

The governor's order applies to all violent and nonviolent felons who have completed all phases of their sentences and supervised release as of Friday - even those who have not applied for a restoration of rights - a departure from past policies in which governors restored rights on an individual basis.

"We benefit from a more just and accountable government when we put trust in all of our citizens to choose their leaders," McAuliffe said to a cheering crowd from the steps of the state Capitol. "It has taken Virginia many centuries, unfortunately, to learn this lesson. But today, we celebrate its truth."

Hm. I wonder if the white felons also got their voting rights back. (All this time I thought voting was a duty.)

    Good question

I was looking at it like dems alway do and try to stack the deck whether its illegal immigration or giving away the store to keep the votes coming.

"applies to all violent and nonviolent felons whohave completed all phases of theirsentences and supervised release as of Friday" so I would have to say yes. However, it will be greatly skewed as black, because there is a much larger percentage of violent and non-violent blacks in the prison system in general.
AND the Democrats were signing up folks immediately.
However, I do note thier GUN RIGHTS are NOT restored, just the ability to vote.

If HELLary gets in combined with the crap that barry has pulled this country will not be recognizable in 4 years.
Changing the money, allowing illegal aliens to collect social security, not enforcing the immigration laws and stripping money from the military budgets.
We won't know what barry has really done for years as his back door deals inside and international deals come to light.

You can wager that barry will make use of his pen to pardon and commute thousands of so called non-violent drug offenders.

    That's because it is, Moto.

And McAuliffe is a long time Clinton friend. Every year the political cronyism get worse and worse, especially on the Democrat side. We're becoming a third world country, whereby political connections garner favors, big favors at the expense of the average citizen.

If McAuliffe truly believed that these folks debt has been paid, he would restore ALL of their rights, including their right to bear arms, rather than only the rights he thinks might benefit him and his political party. If they can't be trusted with full restoration of their rights, then they can't be trusted to roam free in society and should not be released.

If part of the penalty is on going, how does the "debt to society" ever get fully paid?
Either you are paid in full, or not. Which is it?

    Chimo,
    That was a keeper.

What makes McAuliffe actions intolerable is if they put the effort into it, felons can have their rights restored:
How Can A Convicted Felon Receive Firearm Rights?
However, it seems most aren't interested, don't care to vote and buy their forearms in the Hood.

Add Loretta Lynch's statements to see how far this nation has fallen:
AG Loretta Lynch wants to let nation break law without consequences

    @3M-TA3
She did make this only applies to being people of color or minorities quite clear. By this time, after having our noses rubbed in it for almost 8 years, anyone who has missed it lives in a vacuum.

There was an article about a man being severely beaten by a gang yelling racial slurs. The sheriff stated it wasn't a hate crime because the victim was white. That is wrong.
