Trump 'blindsided' by Ryan, flip-flops with 'change' on minimum wage | Fox News

EXCUSE ME! He is not even the presidential candidate yet and he is already changing his tune!

A $15 minimum wage is insane... I am a sorry but it is... better to bring down the Cost of Living. What's that? You can't? Hmmmm..........now let's think about this. Are you thinking? Then think some more.......When do we come to the end of our rope? What do we, the people, have to do to ensure that the politicians understand that we have had enough and they need to please us since that is their only propose in politics? I hope this is a media slip, a misunderstanding...

Trump is following the old playbook...appeal to the base to get the nomination, then, once the nomination is sewn up, move to the center. Trump is doing more than moving to the center, he's going after Bernie supporters.

As with Obama, we have no idea what we are in for. "Hope and Change" vs "Make America Great Again"; what's the difference. He is a narcissist, just like Obama, and maybe worse. When he does not get his way he will make Obama's number of EO's pale in comparison. He is about to swing far left. He has his 45% of republicans who support him and people who would never vot democrat regardless of who was on the republican ticket. The rest he will have to get by "changing his mind" on a number of issues and he knows it. Hillary has to swing right, as she is doing on coal. She may end up further right than him. But for each it's just talk; thier true nature will not be known until one is elected.

Hillary's problem is that it's obvious that any "swing right" on her part is utter bulltwinkle. The witch has showed her true stripes too many times in the past for anyone to believe she's changed her evil widdle mind on anything.

These are dangerous times....... You have a hand full of politicians who are pandering to a handful of the population and the rest of us are pissed off because of it. Promises not kept eventually catch up with you.

As usual, please go read what was ACTUALLY said, not what the drive by media CLAIMS was said. Back in the 1950s, the minimum wage was $1.25. That was five silver quarters, those same five silver quarters are currently worth (melt value) $15. The problem is not wages, it is the money!

Nothing in that article says Trump endorses $15/hour minimum wage. It only says he "suggested" he would be "open" to increasing it.
"I am looking at it,” he said. “I haven't decided in terms of numbers. But I think people have to get more."

Trump follows up by stating that he wants to increase wages by bringing jobs back to the US (which is a better plan as minimum wage increases only result in inflation that accomplishes nothing more than effectively decreasing the wages of others and gutting the savings of retired and other fixed income peoples)

“I'm allowed to change,” Trump told ABC, before returning to his long-standing campaign promise to bring U.S. companies back to the country, which he says will result in American workers making “a lot more than the $15” hourly.

Republicans dropped the ball on the minimum wage. Approving a $1 increase and indexing it to inflation would have made this go away by now. I worked for a $.75 minimum wage in college and $.25 as a teen loading watermelons in the hot Texas sun 10 hours a day.

Raising minimum wage is a shell game. All other wages are based on the minimum wage.
Your local pizza shop pays the delivery driver, the cashier, the counter help. The wait staff all, another dollar per hour, then that $8 pizza just became a $12.00 pizza.
That new hire is now making more than the the guy with 5 years seniority? No way he'll stand for that. His wages will go up as well. He earned his increase, you think he will just sit back and embrace the new low his wages have sunk to? His pizza got more expensive, and his wages buy less. He demands a cost of living increase, followed by his manager, and his boss, all the way up. And all those costs get passed to the end user. (You and me).
Minimum wage was never intended to be a way of life or "living wage". It is intended to train new hires into being productive employees. (Many of the minimum wage workers I've known were not worth the wage they were making.)
You want more money? Get a better job. Earn it.

Does it bother Trump supports that he he made a big deal about financing his own campaign so he would not be beholding to big money donations yet spent half of yesterday with big donators or railed against lobbyists and spent the other half of the day in private meeting with several?

Yes, it annoys me no end. I think reality has come up and smacked him on that subject alone, and there's more bruising waiting in the wings when he finds out that brow beating underlings only works when you own the company. That said, I think he can learn where the hildebeast hasn't and evidently can't.

That isn't completely accurate. He self financed his campaign for the nomination, yes. But the campaign for president is a whole other ballgame. Even Trump doesn't have enough money to do that on his own.

Your claim isn't entirely accurate either. At best, Donald Drumpf has given the impression that he has self funded his own campaign for the GOP nomination. The reality is somewhat different, as explained in the following articles....

The reality is that Drumpf has thus far, partially self funded his campaign, partly by direct donation, but also with a significant amount in the form of loans that he may still have the expectation of being reimbursed. Furthermore, a significant proportion of campaign expenses are being channelled back to Trump owned companies as revenue for services rendered. Of course, the Drumpf GOP nomination campaign has also received significant donations from individual donors. Summary data for Donald Trump, 2016 Cycle | OpenSecrets

So no....Drumpf's party nomination is not entirely self funded.....

    None

Will Donald Trump Get Back The $38 Million He Lent His Campaign?

The Secret of Trump’s Self-Funded Campaign: It’s Dirt Cheap

It is more accurate to say that Drumpf has partially self funded his campaign; and although one may quibble about the proportion of his self funding in comparison to other candidates, it does not necessarily mean that Drumpf may not become beholden to the lobbyists and string pullers of those behind the scenes persons and institutions of power and influence who may also throw their support of Drumpf's quest for the Oval Office.

So your saying he is an astute business man who knows how to invest his money for the least risk and most potential gain. We sure don't want someone like that leading our country do we?

I'm not really a Trump "support", but I will vote for him. The rest of the issues (even including his apparent bending over with regard to background checks and terrorist watch lists) pale when the alternative of a Hillary appointed, ultra-liberal packed, SCOTUS for the next 3 or 4 decades is faced.

I agree. But he will lose because of his ego. He is not as liked, rich, or important as he thinks he is. He is in way over his abilities. Its the Peter Principal. Sooner or later you get promoted to your level of incompetence.
