You are free to do what you want as long as you do what they say...

Nope.... " You are FREE to do what ever you like, or want, Period. You just MUST be willing to face the consequences, of and for your ACTIONS."

I was born free, my first breath was free.
I knew knew at 1 day old that would be the last time I would be allowed to act freely.
If free people have the ability to be be free and say we are free why does freedom cost at every turn.
To get a conceal carry not free cost, to buy a gun not free bgc, to get health insurance I must choose my own
insurance that the government allows me to chose at a cost I cant afford but a cost I must endure or they will charge me for not
buying what I can freely buy ??

@Salted Weapon not so! Idaho, starting 1 July (I need to check the date but it is early July) will be a constitution carry state - meaning - you, my friend, have the right to carry your firearm(s), open or concealed, via the Constitution...no if's, and's or but's. Put your boots on and your gun and walk out the door. A handful of states are doing this now and in the immediate future...

Very disturbing essay... And, it is probably right, "America is a conquered people" but... there is an X-factor if you want to call it such...and frankly I don't know what is an X-factor. We have the 'right to bear arms.' That right alone changes many things. Imagine a 100,000 armed people saying..."No." How many police forces would go against 100,000 armed citizens? Do you know how many other countries have this right? Now, imagine 1,000,000 saying "No." This is why America is so dangerous...

I would love to be able to have just carry and now laws and revenue. Oregon sadly is going the opposite direction. My hope is November 2016 reverses this. Or helps.

Oregon is going like Washington which is nothing more than an satellite California. I grew up in Washington, Seattle to be exact, but it is lost. Good luck in November! I mean that! I have met many good people from Oregon and would like to see it put on the right path.

We have to ask permission by purchasing licenses to drive a car, leave the country, catch a fish or shoot a squirrel for dinner, carry a firearm to protect ourselves, get married, buy a gun, fly a plane, ride a motor-cycle, operate a boat, talk on a radio, stage a public assembly, grow certain crops, and dispose of the remaining products of our labor after taxes. We have a defacto registration number (Social Security), 17985 local and State Law Enforcement Agencies and over 105,000 full-time Federal police of one type or another. Everything we buy, sell, manufacture, aquire, or earn is taxed and the Tax Code has over 74,685 pages, so no-one can actually understand it. We have an executive branch more than willing to mandate by decree rather than process, Judges willing to issue warrants after the fact, the "Patriot" Act, and our beloved "Department of Homeland Security" which has pretty much blanket authority to do whatever the hell they want to us under the guise of whatever knee-jerk of the day event might suggest. We use a communications system that is easily monitored by any one of these agencies and even has gps trackers built into them. We use an open forum communications media and we have a massive propaganda media to direct our opinions in a direction that can be controlled. We have a massive campaign to convince us that our children being sent all over the world to fight wars against the Boogie-man de jour, is somehow defending our Freedom? About the only "Freedom" we have is the ability to say this without fear of being hauled off by jack-booted thugs authorized to deal with "domestic Terrorists"...excuse me, someone is beating on my door....

I would rather die standing for freedom than on my knees begging for my next meal from the hand of a tyrant

I think this sums it up nicely! I believe I shall keep your post and read it from time to time just to remind myself exactly why I am so angry. Well said.

    A Visitor from the Past....

I had a dream the other night, I didn't understand.

A figure walking through the mist, with flintlock in his hand.

His clothes were torn and dirty, as he stood there by the bed, he took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low, he said:

"We fought a revolution, to secure our liberty.

We wrote the Constitution, as a shield from tyranny, for future generations, this legacy we gave, In this, the land of the free and the home of the brave."

"The freedom we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep.

But tyrants labored endlessly, while your parents were asleep.

Your freedom gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave, in this, the land of the free and the home of the brave."

"You buy permits to travel, and permits to own a gun, permits to start a business, or to build a place for one.

On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent, although you have no voice in choosing how the money's spent."

"Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate.

Your Christian values can't be taught, according to the state.

You read about the current news, in a regulated press.

You pay a tax you do not owe, to please the I.R.S."

"Your money is no longer made of silver or of gold.

You trade your wealth for paper, so your life can be controlled.

You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God in shame.

You've taken Satan's number, as you've traded in your name."

"You've given government control to those who do you harm, so they can padlock churches, and steal the family farm, and keep the country deep in debt, put men of God in jail, harass your fellow countrymen, while corrupted courts prevail."

"Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oath they've sworn.

Your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born.

Your leaders ship artillery and guns to foreign shores, and send your sons to slaughter, fighting other people's wars."

"Can you regain freedom for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride?

Are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave?"

"Sons of the Republic, arise and take a stand! Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land!

Preserve our great republic and each God-given right, And pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright!"

As I awoke he vanished, in the mist from which he came. His words were true, we are not free.

    We have ourselves to blame.

For even now as tyrants trample each God-given right, we only watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight.

If he stood by your bedside, in a dream while you're asleep, and wondered what remains of our rights he fought to keep, what would be your answer, if he called out from the grave?

Is this still the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave?

    GOVERNMENT. Compound word.
Govern = direction; control; management; rule:
-ment = suffix pertaining to the mind or state there of.

Thats right, government means mind control. It always has and it always will. The only way you will have freedom is to take it. Free your mind and your ass will follow.

    DON'T VOTE! Only slaves vote.
"It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything." Joseph Stalin

Stop playing their game. I will be forming a "don't vote" campaign to see how many people we can get to stop voting this year. I suggest anyone who loves freedom join in.

65,899,660 is 51% of those who voted Obama back in office . Of those who are eligible to vote only 57.5% did so.
This means that less than a third of the eligible voters reelected Obama.
So to the silent majority", you did it to yourselves."
