As predicted Microsoft has done it again.

KB 3035583 is back even if the users previously hid it

Monkeys that have automatic updates enabled will receive KB 3035583 whether they want it or not and ms will force w 10 on yall again

This is after multiple other attempts to force users to upgrade :(

That windows 10 is very annoying. It keeps slowing things down then it told me I was scheduled for W10 update. They give you not option to permanently opt out.

And for some eason I cannot get any other up-dates till I get W10. This laptop has not been up-dated since November and the only up-date is W10. Which I know is not correct

I set my updates to manual then with the downloaded files, deselect and then hide KB3035583. Every time an update downloads you have to deselect and hide. MS used to be vapor wear and now they are nuisance ware

List of Windows 10 nagware/malware updates:

KB3035583 - According to Microsoft, this update enables "additional capabilities for Windows Update notifications when new updates are available".
KB2952664 - Labeled a compatibility upgrade for upgrading Windows 7, its purpose is to "make improvements to the current operating system in order to ease the upgrade experience to the latest version of Windows".
KB2976978 - A compatibility update for Windows 8.1 and Windows 8 which "performs diagnostics on the Windows system [...] to determine whether compatibility issues may be encountered when the latest Windows operating system is installed".
KB3021917 - Does the same as KB 2976978 but on Windows 7.
KB3044374 - This update for Windows 8.1 enables systems to upgrade from the current operating system to a later version of Windows.
KB2990214 - Does the same as KB 3044374 but on Windows 7.
KB3083711 - Listed as a "new update client" for Windows 8 - seems unnecessary. Highly suspicious.
KB3083710 - Same as the "new update client" above, but for Windows 7. Highly suspicious.
    KB3022345 - Adds telemetry. Avoid.
KB3068708 - The "upgraded" version of the above patch that adds telemetry. Avoid.
KB3075249 - Supposedly "adds telemetry points to the User Account Control (UAC) feature". Avoid.
KB3080149 - Adds CEIP telemetry. Avoid.
KB3112343 - This update "enables support for additional upgrade scenarios from Windows 7 to Windows 10". Need I say anything more?
KB3123862 - Gives "updated capabilities to upgrade Windows" to Windows 10.

    This list is not complete.

If you hide these updates they will likely reappear.

Linux or Apple, the only answers.

Tried to upgrade to Win 10 on two of my machines that were multiple boot. When the upgrade completed, neither machine would boot at all. It's as if MS is saying that you can ONLY have Win 10 and no other OS on your computer. There's probably a fix, but I'm not that savvy and don't have hours on end to try to figure it out.

So that's when I dropped Windows altogether, with the exception of Win 7 on my laptop. The only reason I keep that is because I occasionally use broadband, and the USB dongle won't work with Linux.

W10 will NOT coexist with any other OS. "The word" is that M$ has programming in the OS that will not permit a dual boot. I suppose a hacker could uncover and disable that line of code, but it sure is beyond me.

I had dual boot with W7 on my MacBook Pro, but it made the metal case so hot when I used it, I finally just took it off before it fried the processor (or my thighs).

I never even learned Windoze until W2K, and that only because I decided fixing computers would be a good retirement gig and Apples hardly ever need to be fixed.

Oh yes they do!!. 1st step is use "wipe drive" or any means to delete, bury, or burn the SPAWN OF GATES!!. 2nd step is to install one or more flavors of the world famous penguin os. Problem solved. Wife got a new computer a couple months ago. Managed to hold 10 at bay until last week. The request for upgrade came up, she hit the X and it proceeded to start anyway. It WAS the last windows in this house as I quit ms years ago. Her new os will be Kubuntu studio.

3 computers now have started installing 10. Just let it get to the "accept/decline " window and hit decline. Mine all reinstalled 7 with no ill effects and so far have not asked to get 10 again, almost 3 weeks now. Who knows? I never do anything I wouldn't share with the world on a windows OS anyway.
