Chanterelle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I will be posting on this topic. Hopefully it's informative and tastes good!
So what about Chanterelles? Have you ever harvested them? Where did you learn how to identify mushrooms?
Here's what I bring to hunt. A small pack that contains emergency supplies. (Compass, water, fire starter, pistol, etc etc) A pocket knife and a few plastic grocery bags. In the Northwest I usually start poking around in early September especially after it's rained. Wherever there are fir trees it's possible there are Chanterelles. It's much easier if you can find someone who can dial you in on them. More to follow.
Any Monkeys doing this in the PNW on weekends and want to show someone the ropes, let me know. I am up here for a few weeks per month and would love to get to know more of the flora in this reagon since I am based out of The Sonoran Desert.
