Ya know that little napkin that the barmaid sets your beer or Rum and Coke on? Sprinkle it with salt and it will never stick to the bottom of the bottle or glass[js][js][js]

I clean my cast iron with salt. Works like a charm and doesn't remove the seasoning.

I have two 2600 lbs. pallets of table salt sitting in the warehouse, if anyone needs some salt.

Yes , If you cover the pools & keep the same hours on the chlorine generation then you get the worst chlorine/bleach hit up the nose.
It will vent off if left uncovered. Your salt will not evaporate out , but the water leaves all the time if left uncovered & more in a breeze. Adding water will dilute only if you over fill or have a leak. I add 30# of raw salt per year on a huge 6' deep pool .
I cover it all winter , or if I start from scratch I add 300 # of salt & that's less than 1/4 of the Pacific Ocean concentration of PPM

"Salt water chlorination is a process that uses dissolved salt (2,500–6,000 ppm) as a store for the chlorination system.[1] The chlorine generator (also known as salt cell, salt generator, salt chlorinator or SWG) uses electrolysis in the presence of dissolved salt (NaCl) to produce hypochlorous acid (HClO) and sodium hypochlorite (NaClO), which are the sanitizing agents already commonly used in swimming pools. As such, a saltwater pool is not actually chlorine-free; it simply utilizes a chlorine generator instead of direct addition of chlorine."

But, it requires a filter pump with a flow rate between 700-3,000 gph...

I guess you are just saying this equipment utilizes electrolysis, the same process you were talking about in making chlorine out of salt.
