Is anyone using the 12 volt corn row type bulb with there solar power? I ordered a couple just to
see what they are like. Boy are they bright. I got one of the warm white and one of the cool white.
The warm white is for indoor use and it's a soft light. The cool white is a bright harsh light that's
really good for outside use. I tried the cool white bulbs in my outside security light and it really
lights up the place at night.

The 20 watt bulb has lumens of about 1305 to 1740 it's a little brighter than 100 watt
    incandescent bulb.

The light from the warm bulb is very nice for indoor use no harsh shadows

The 20 watt bulbs are about $13 each

No but, I am using these in place of incandescent bulbs in almost every 12vdc lighting location in my RV. The battery drain is minute by comparison. Most all of my lighting in the RV is 12vdc. I already was aware the standard 12vdc automotive bulb were cheap replacements for the high dollar cost each RV industry bulbs and what auto # sizes fit where. I pay 50 cents to 1 dollar each in bulk of 10-20 bulbs. Lumens on the top 2 I use run 1100-1350. They put out quite a bit of light.

I bought a travel trailer a couple of years ago and the first thing I did was replace all the incandescent bulbs with LED (12 volt lighting). They appear just as bright if not brighter, and with the warm white version appear to have the same lighting tone as the incandescent bulbs.

A quick check with an ammeter reveals that 5 LED bulbs can be illuminated with the same amount of current that it takes to illuminate one #1141 incandescent bulb. When you're running on batteries, that's a big improvement.

when using both the cool and warm is a replacement for grow lights if you are going to grow things like starting plants in a basement

I buy my bulbs on Amazon, and carefully check the specs on lumens (that varies greatly, as does the price for the same thing, it makes little sense) to get what I am looking for. I will link the last purchase of 1156, and 1157 replacement bulbs I bought and a link for 1141 if I can find a good one.
